Anyone traveling to Orlando in Dec find cheap airfare yet

Has anyone found any airlines that are offering cheap airfare yet for December. I will be traveling from Chicago (ohare or midway to Orlando If so could you let me know which ones. The cheapest I have found is 336 trough Spirit Airlines (Ohare to Orlando).

Where are you travelling from? That will make a huge difference in what people consider as cheap.

Thanks for adding the Chicago info, that helps. One thing to note that since you will be travelling over the Christmas holiday, you should book the best price as soon as you can. We returned home from a Disney cruise right before Christmas 2002, and had to pay about double because the season. We priced out flights for four months, and finally just bought the tickets at the high price. They never did come down.

The lowest price I find right now is the price on Spirit, $336 non-stop from O'Hare. AirTran is $6 lower. If you return home on 1/2, the price drops to $316 (Spirit). If you can wait until 1/5, the price drops to $246. If you leave Christmas day and return 1/2 it is $286 on United. Same price if you return on 1/3, but it is on AirTran. Personally, if you can get a price under $300 from Chicago non-stop around Christmas, that is pretty good.

Hey Jaw,

This may be tedious, but check as many airlines everyday that you can. We are flying in from denver and we have found airfare as low as $150 a person RT to $450 a personRT. The airlines can drop their airfares on one day and the next they will be back up. So check everyday. The lowest we found was on Delta. This was for the first week of this coming Dec. Good Luck. Let us know what you find.

Do you have your specific travel dates in Dec yet or are you flexible? I know that 1 day can be a huge difference in fares on Spirit.
Also, do you subscribe to Spirit SyberSpecials? I get a weekly e-mail from them with specials that can be great if you have the flexibility to use them.
