I was told that everyonein you party will get a resort ID. Are these ID"Sthe ones you hang around your neck ? Plus we would like to put charging ability on them, but my mom iscomingwith us, her charging would be on herown card. But I heard everyone in your room needs to be on the same.Is this true?

I'm pretty sure the resort ID is just the room card. I always book room only (haven't had a chance to take advantage of the MYW packages yet), but I think the room card is also your park ticket/charging priveledge card/meal plan card (someone else would probably be able to confirm this). The card is connected to the credit card that holds the room, so the only way you rmom could put her charges on a separate card would be for you to track what she is charging and then paying that off separately at (or before) check-out with her credit card. Pretty sure they can't automatically link two separate credit cards to the charges from separate individuals in the same room.

Some people hang them around their neck but most people find a safe place to stick them. I keep mine in my pocket and haven't lost it yet.

If you are in the same room I'm pretty sure you can only leave one credit card for charging. We've made it work in the past because every card has a number and you will get a print out that has every charge and the card that was used for the charge. At the end of the week we added up the charges and we went down and used our credit card to pay off our share of the charges and our friends paid off their share with their credit card. You will have to do this the day before you are checking out bacause the charges are rolled over to your CC really early in the morning--I've hear before 5 am. YOu will need to go the to Guest Service the day before and ask for a print out of your charges because by the time it's left on your door all the charges have already been posted to your CC.

Another thing is that you can have certain key with charging priveledges, which I like... Kids with credit cards can be dangerous...

You can have the room key with or without charge. All keys go back to the room they are issued for. If you mom is in a different room she could have her credit card on file for her card.

Option for kiddies to limit how much they spend/loose would he prepaid Visa/MasterCard gift cards. You could put small amount on several cards and pass them out as needed.

Personally, I never just charge anything on the resort card.

Hmm, as far as separate credit cards on the reservation, I know when I was working at the Swalphin we were able to separate it. Also another thing you can do is before you check out and pay the bill, you should be able to separate the charges to different folios and pay with different cards. I am sure Disney has this option. It's pretty standard for hotels.

if you buy the park admission seperatley, you have 2 cards, otherwise, everything is on one.

that is exactly what we do to DT. I find it's the best way.

Your room key...or a plastic card with your name and resort (trips dates too) on it to indentify that you are a WDW guest. You can also have your dining plan and park passes on this card as well as your room key and charging privelages.

All ID cards are the room key and ALL have the same name - the name on the reservation. The ability to charge on the cards can be limited to only the ones you want to use to charge. In this situation, Disney can take an example from Universal (sorry folks for using the bad word) and identify each room key - used for room entry, tickets, meals, charges, etc. with each person's name on the reservation instead of using only one name on all cards.

is there anyway to allow room charging privelages on some cards and not others? we are going in december with a group of people, and we are staying in a 2 room villa @ ssr.

Yes, we did that our last trip. The cast member at check in will assign charging privelages only to the cards you want.
