Moderate Resorts

Looking to stay at a moderate resort for our next vacation. Which is the best moderate resort? Any info you can give would be great.

Re: Moderate Resorts

I'm a big fan of the Coronado Springs Resort! Great pool, great food court, etc.

You can look at a comparison of all the resorts at Deb's Unofficial Walt Disney World Vacation Information Guide - WDW Planning Guide - Walt Disney World

They have slide shows and details of every resort!

I hope that helps!

Re: Moderate Resorts

I think all four have the ups and downs. I prefer French Quarter, simply because of the small size. The other three are huge. I also like the pools at Port Orleans as well, and having the choice of two good pools is always great.

Re: Moderate Resorts

POR is my favorite (I've only stayed there and Coronado Springs). Carribbean Beach doesn't appeal to me, and I'm sure POFQ would be great - given it's smaller size. I like being close to the POR lounge at night because we Bob!!

My favorite mod is POFQ because of it's size, location and service. All are perfect!

Re: Moderate Resorts

We have stayed at each one, except for Riverside. I loved the theme of CBR. Coronado Springs was great, but we preferred French Quarter. The size is perfect and having a boat to DTD is an added plus. You will not be disappointed at any of them!

Re: Moderate Resorts

I love the Port Orleans Riverside. It's very quiet and you can take a boat ride to downtown disney. I'm going to the Coronado Springs for the first time in Nov. It seems really nice

Re: Moderate Resorts

We stayed at POR and Caribbean Beach. They didn't really float my boat, but I'm spoiled. They're nice. Comparable to any mid-range hotel anywhere.

Re: Moderate Resorts

I don't feel like I can say "best". It's a matter of personal taste and style- service and amenities are going to be comparable.

Get yourself your drink of choice, sit back, and do what Erin suggested: Peruse Allearsnet.com!

Re: Moderate Resorts

Well Mr. Math, we've stayed at all of the moderates and my kids liked Coronado Springs the best, mostly due to their awesome pool... Yes it's a large resort, so room location can be a factor. Consult the Unofficial Guide for good info concerning room locations (no matter which resort you choose). Our least favorite was CBR. I would put POR second, followed by POFQ.

Re: Moderate Resorts

I've stayed at all except for Coronando Springs. POR is my very, very favorite. I have stayed there 4 times and just keep going back. This last trip was my first time staying in the Alligator Bayou section there and it was just as great as the Magnolia Bend section.

Good luck with making your decision!
