Icon10 Garden Grocery is awesome!

I called Garden Grocery today before I placed my on-line order. There customer service people were awesome! The nice customer service man, named Brian explained the WDW resorts were 40% of there business. He assured me that if our flight was delayed that our groceries would be left with the bell Hop at our resort. He said that the Saratoga Spa and resort had 3 huge walk in refidgerators. I was really impressed with the company!
I will let you all know how it goes in my TR.

Re: Garden Grocery is awesome!

I look forward to hearing your report. I very much liked their customer service. I had a few questions before placing my order and they were very imformative and polite. I called back a few days before my trip to confirm everything and they again, were extreley helpful. I will defiantely use them again when I need them.

Re: Garden Grocery is awesome!

I am very curious about these grocery services- since we are going to take the disney shuttle to and from the cruise (I really wanted Quicksilver but it was just not cost effective for us this trip) I will need to arrange another form of a grocery stop- for water and pampers and breakfast snacky stuff- are they more expensive? What if you are staying at POFQ - will they send it there?

Re: Garden Grocery is awesome!

Yes, they will deliver anywhere in the WDW area. This is great even if you are not staying on the WDW property. There prices are a little higher than my local store her in Calfornia. But when you consider how much a taxi, or rental car would cost to go to the store it is cheaper to shop on line and have it delivered.

Re: Garden Grocery is awesome!

Is there a limit as to how much you have to spend? Im thinking that I would only get a case of water and pampers- not sure if its worth it

I don't think there is a minimum purchase--but if your order is over $200 they waive the $10delivery fee (you don't need that many diapers, do you? LOL).

The $10 is cheaper than roundtrip cab fare to the store, and $9 or less is cheaper for a case of water than a case at $2.50 per bottle in the parks, so I'd say it's worth it. Plus you don't have to spend the time getting to the store. We had things like sliced apples, juice boxes, a 4 load bottle of Tide and string cheese delivered and found their prices fine. Infact some of the items were cheaper than I pay at home in California

But, if it's just water you need, Staples.com will deliver water FREE if you sign up for their rewards program online (that is free to do and only takes a minute). They ship via UPS and you can get a trackng number so you know when it gets there.

Re: Garden Grocery is awesome!

FYI, if you need to place a 2nd order from GG, they will waive the $10 delivery fee IF you know the code. Ask when you receive your first order if you think you may need to re-order.
