Quick question.

I think I know the right answer, but want to make sure. I am booking my new vacation on Friday. I am hoping that they offer the free dining for my time frame (8/27-9/4) as we have "heard". If I book that package on Friday, should I book it with or without the dining?? I am not going to get the dining if it isn't free, but would add it if it were. How should I book it? I am booking online at disney.com. Will that matter? Can CRO edit those reservations or should I book over the phone? So many questions..lol

I would think book it without dining for now.

Are you getting a package either way? If so, it seems like you could book a MYW package without Dining and if free dining comes out you could add it. I think I would call CRO and ask just to be safe though. Either that or email Mouseketrips.

We booked our with the dining, just incase.
Then when free dining came, I rebooked.

I am doing this booking solo. I am using that certificate program through my DD's school in order to get the tuition kick back next year. I feel badly as mousketrips has always taken care of me, but I have to think about saving that money this time. Her high school years are coming up fast and that tuition is going to be a bit...ok way....higher.

I will take your advice and call CRO to see what they say. See if I have any time for it tomorrow..lol

I wish I could remember the differences. I know they do different things to cancel or change a ressie with an online vs. phone.

If it were me I would not add dining now.

If I make the initial reservation over the phone and the deposit, can I then make payments online?

I think you can make the payments online.... I would also book it over the phone that way if you have any questions you can ask them at that moment..

That's what I will do then. Thanks. I definately need to be able to make the payments online to use the certificates. I checked their site and it's possible to do...I don't know how they would take them over the phone, but I guess that's possible as well.

Dana - I was just talking with disney reservations on the weekend and was told that it is easier to remove the dining from an existing reservation than to add it on later. You have until 45 days before your arrival date to make changes without any penalties. If the free dining isn't available 45 days before your arrival date then you would can remove the dining option at that time.

Which resort are you staying at next time?
