POR food court closed Jan - March 2007

Heard that the food court at POR would be closed from Jan 4th until March 2007. I just wanted to warn would-be POR guests!

WOW! That's kinda tough to do....they only have one other place to eat there. People are going to have to walk to POFQ to use their food court...that's a bit inconvienant.

The food court won't be completely closed! Inconvenient, yes probably, but it will remain open for a buffet-style breakfast from 6am to 11am. It will then close from 11-5pm and will reopen at 5pm for a buffet style dinner! The menu will change daily and will hopefully be posted or given to guests on a flyer when they check in. Boatwrights will also remain open.

You guys are gooood, we just found out about this about three days ago. I was hoping to wait for my copy of the menu so I could post it for ya, but you beat me too it!

In answer to the question, yes, it will be refurbished as others have. Hopefully when its finished it will be able to accomodate large numbers more effeciently! I'm sure refurb. is going to be CRAZY for guests and cast but the end result will be worth it! I'll let ya know when I get those menus!

Ok, I got an update! Anyone who currnently has a reservation for that time will be sent a letter in the near future explaining the project with an oppertunity to book ADR's at Boatwrights and possibly change resorts. There is also talk of shuttles being run from POR to POFQ to use their food court. I'll let ya know if I hear more!

Glad to hear it should be done by March. We're going in May, so hopefully they'll have worked out any kinks it's caused and things will be going smoothly.

I'm sure that they will also be spilling over to POFQ during that time. But we don't plan on eating at our food court to often.

Holy hannah I'm going march 31 until april 7. That is spring break. I pray this thing will be DONE by then.
