when are Christmas decorations taken down?

We will be arriving on January 6th. Will Christmas decorations still be up at the resorts and in the parks or will they have all been taken down by then?

They'll all be down.

Decoration removal begins on January 2. Within a few days, there's very little evidence of the Holidays.

As per last year, the decorations stayed up through marathon weekend, which will be Jan 6-7th this year. So you should be good on the 6th.

I heard on a Disney special it all came down on January 2nd.

PC took a while to get their decorations down in January '05, but everything was gone by January 6th that week.

All I can tell you is I was there for the marathon last year and the decorations were up: trees and all. We were told they take them down when the marathon weekend is over.
Last year the race was on Jan 7th, this year it's on Jan 6th.

My guess is that they start to take things down earlier and leave just the big stuff up for the marathon crowd.
