I Hear people say pop century was the best but is there anything wroung with staying at the movie resort

No, we stayed there twice and really had no problems. You do have to share the bus with the other All Stars and Pop has their own. It is a value hotel with not a lot of thrills. My kids loved it there!

I stayed there in 2001 and loved it. The buses do get crowded because of the shared transportation but the theme is great. It would probably be my first choice if I were staying at a Value depending upon the time of year.

We stayed there last Jan and loved it

The previous Jan we stayed at the Music and were not as impressed as with the Movies

We plan to stay at the movies again soon, loved it

This is the age-old MB question.... ask 20 people and you'll get 20 different answers! We stay at Pop these past few years since we are watching our budget and want to be able to visit WDW twice a year. I like that Pop doesn't host large group bookings, which could be important if you were planning to have a quiet vacation and you find your self in the middle of a major event (for example- a national cheerleading competition, or a high school marching band competition).

If this seems like it could bother you, I am sure that you can call the All Star Movies Resort and ask them if they have any events going on the week you are visiting.

I haven't stayed at ASMovies, so I can't compare it to Pop.

You might want to pick up a copy of Bob Sehlinger's Unofficial Guide to WDW. It's a fantastic resource, and includes great resort information.

I have stayed at ASMo 3 times and Pop 2ce. We definatly like ASMo better. I like that the food court is separate from the gift shop...and I like the theming much better at ASMo....you definatly feel part of the Disney magic at ASMo!!! I don't like the themeing at Pop as well.

We've never had problems with ASMo buses either, even though you have to share with the other two ASResorts. Even some of the Deluxe resorts share buses. I was so disappointed when we stayed at WL and we had to stop at Grand Floridian or the Poly each day....I wanted to get to the park, lol!

When are you going on your trip?

It is our favorite of the Values. We stayed in Toy Story last year and will be in Herbie the Love Bug this year.

I really enjoyed the stay at ASMo. We were in the 101 Dalmations area. It is just a basic hotel style room. But if you are like me you wont be in the room very much. But i enjoyed everything about it.

Although the buses are shared the only time we had a crowded bus was when we stayed at the park for closing. But we were there at the end of April.

There's nothing wrong with ASMo, I think the theme of teh resort is the best of all the value resorts.

I agree nothing wrong with it..POP is just newer so they made some improvements to it that they missed with the Values.

All-Star Movies is the only Value I have stayed at, and we LOVED it!

No complaints whatsoever...we had no problems with check-in/check-out, our room, bus service, noise, etc.

I would stay there again in a heartbeat. So if you're struggling with liking the theme better than POP, don't fret too much - stay at whichever place most appeals to you!

AS Movies used to be our favorite resort due to the theming, but last year we had several customer service issues. Needless to say, we won't be going back there any time soon. On previous trips thoug, we loved our stay at AS Movies, so you will probably be fine there.

Nope there is nothing wrong with staying at all star movies. I stayed there in 2000 and loved my stay there. Just don't get the mighty ducks section if you can avoid it...it's a mega hike from the main area.
