Resort bedspreads..what do you do?
1. use them like they were your own
2. don't use them, but keep folded at bottom of the bed 3. remove from the bed entirely ~i saw this show on t.v. about how the bedsdpreads hardly ever get washed....so just curious how / what others do with the bedspreads in their travels. |

I remove them from the bed entirely. I find them scratchy.

As we are not into big heavy things when we sleep, it gets folded up at the end of the bed (most nights it ends up on the floor).

Usually, we fold it back because they're too heavy. Then the AC kicks in and I need an extra blanket for good reason. Now, someone mentioned the blankets. Do you really think the blankets get cleaned any more frequently than the bedspreads?

i had no idea that this was an issue
always thought everything was washed before each new guest used the room. but i've always kept it at the end of the bed and just used the blanket anyway.

We've seen some articles and shows about hotel bedspreads so we fold it about half way back. We use it to keep warm but don't let it touch our skin at the same time. DW is always telling the kids "don't lay on the bedspreads!"
Quick side note on this subject. Does anyone know what the dirtiest thing in a hotel room is?

I'm a dork. I always bring an extra set of bed linens (sheets, etc) and pillow cases. Anything below a 4-star requires my own linens.
