Beach Club Room Locations

Hi all,

BF and I were thinking we should make a room request at the Beach CLub Resort for our May wedding trip - but I don't know anyone who has stayed there, and have no idea where the best locations in the hotel are. Does anyone have a recommendation?

Also, it it cheesy for us to tell them it is our wedding trip, that we are getting married there, etc, to up our chances of getting a room upgrade?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
M

No it is not cheesy!
I thought I'd feel the same way at first when we went on our honeymoon but once we got there I got over it. You wont believe how much neat stuff we got to do because it was our honeymoon...you only have one honeymoon so milk it for all it's worth.

No, not cheesy at all! Tell them - by all means.
If you can get a copy of the Unofficial guide to WDW, they tell you which rooms have what views etc.
I have stayed there twice - once with the tribe, once with out. So we stayed in two different parts - near the pool w/the mini-mice; near EPCOT w/out them.

I'd tell them. Same for all the restaurants!

We've only stayed in the Villas, so I don't know specifics on the Beach Club proper. We like the Epcot view (as much as possible) and prefer a higher floor. Some of the ground floor units have folks walking by right outside the windows at all times.

Re: Beach Club Room Locations

Thanks for the advice all. I am going to take Boss Mouse's advice and get the unofficial guide so I can make a good room request!

And I'm telling everyone I meet down there about the wedding I've decided - heck, I deserve the special treatment!

Although Cinderbella, after reading your honeymoon TR about the many wedding/honeymooners you encountered I may have to vie for the special treatment extra hard!!! So much competition!
