Early check-in / Late check-out , possibilities?
Hi
We are arriving in Orlando very early and flying out very late. I was wondering what our chances were of getting and earlier check-in and a later check-out ? Would it be a good idea to fax a note to the Resort explaining our situation ? If so would you fax it to room assignments? Or to the front desk? Any info would be helpful. Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!

We have been able to get early check in, but it has been random, and is based on if the room is ready or not. Late check out is possible, but is usually only until about 1 PM. If you want to stay longer, they will charge you an extra day. Your resort will handle your bags for you during the day after you check out though, so you can hop on over to the parks, and then back to the resort prior to leaving.
And yes, fax over your request, or you can just call and have that added to your reservation.

Great advice, Mickey! The only thing that I will add to that is call early on the day you leave to request the late check-out. I was successful with my request at the BWI because I called at 6 am (as soon as I opened my eyes!).

I have been very lucky when I have checked into The All-Star resorts, because the rooms have always been ready. There's no harm in asking when you check in if the room is ready for you.

Hi,
In the past, a few days before our trip I would call the Resort, and tell them the situation, because it seems my DH always books us on an early flight. So, when we get there we have been pretty lucky with early check in. Like someone said, it's a random thing with early check in. It won't hurt to make a phone call, maybe about 3 days or so, before you leave. Of course, they will put your request into your reservation, but promise you nothing. So, Good Luck!!!!! JoANN
