DH thought 9 days was a bit to long at WDW
. We cut it back to 7 nights eight days . Anyhow Mousetrips emailed me and the POR was almost 100.00 less of our TOTAL bill. the pics on the site look well seem that it does not FEEL like your at disney. I have only seen the one with a boat. I understand the pool area is nice but where can Ifind pics?????? Which would you pick? kids are 11,8,5,and 1 when we go so we will have 2 rooms at pop century. We are going at Xmas next year. Any feedback on this is appreciated greatly!

Re: Ok I need your help POR or POP ?
Either place is going to be packed. I perfer the POR over POP. But that just me. You will need two rooms at either place. I think the kids will like POR better. There alot to do there for the kids, pools, play area, a nice aracade for the older ones and the boat to DTD is great for the whole family and the food court is great. They are also redoing it. The kids have access to both the olman river pool as well as the one at POFQ with the dragon slide. Both places are huge but I like the themeing at POR better. The store is better and it great to walk around the place with my wife at night. Very romantic. I think they will still have the carriage ride. There are boats to rent and bikes to rent there also. Look at All Ears Tinnitus and Hyperacusis Center for more pictures of the place.

Re: Ok I need your help POR or POP ?
I think that's a tough one.
POR may win your DH over as it's not a 'busy' Disney theme like Pop is, but it's still very magical--more Main Street magic than Fantasyland magic. It is a large resort and it is really beautiful with some quiet, peaceful spots. I think you might be on top of one another at night in a POR room. Once you have the trundle out and a port a crib up you won't be left with a whole lot of floor space, but that may not be an issue for your family. At Pop, you'll have two bathrooms and 4 double sized beds (instead of 2 doubles and a small trundle). Although the rooms aren't huge at Pop, there will be more personal space and over a week that can be a good thing for a busy family and their stuff. One bed per child if you need it, or a room for them to have downtime and you and DH to have some elbow room. I'd go for Pop. ![]()

Re: Ok I need your help POR or POP ?
Simple: Pop is a value resort, POR is a moderate. If you can get a moderate for less money than the value resort, there's no choice there: grab it!
And remember, POFQ is the sister resort. You can go there and use those facilites too.

Re: Ok I need your help POR or POP ?
I would take the two rooms at Pop. the extra space is worth the extra money to me. You will have an extra bathroom for that cash and that's worth it's weight in gold hwen you are trying to get five people showers. That will give the kids their own little place and you and your DH some alone time. You will have two bathrooms and that will help with a party of five. There is no amount of money in this world to make me stay 5 people in a moderate. It would be to crammed for me. I didn't even like having three in a studio at OKW. Keep the two rooms. You can put those kiddos to bed and watch tv or whatever and not worry about disturbing them. Get a fridge for one of the rooms too and have some snacks and drinks delivered by garden grocer.

Re: Ok I need your help POR or POP ?
POR is a beautiful resort - and you'll always get more perks with a mod than with a value (nicer pools, hot tubs, etc) - I'd go with the POP, simply for the space, (a la Dana).

My family looks for any way possible to go to POR any way possible, at any time, for any reason. We love it there... may be the best vacations we have ever had EVER...
POR!

Re: Ok I need your help POR or POP ?
We stayed at POFQ prior to joining the DVC. We loved it and we've recommended it many friends. We liked the setting and feel of the place. It was a quaint walk thru the "streets" to get to the pool. If you can get a deal, I'd go for it.

QUOTE] She took the words right out of my mouth! No matter where you stay on-property, you'll have that Disney Magic, so go for the Moderate vs. the Value if it's a better deal.
