Which Deluxe Resort for May?

We are tentatively planning on going to the MGM Star Wars days in May/June. We are probably going to cash in our disney reward points to cover the cost of the resort. We are trying to decide on which deluxe resort.

We are thinking we will do a day at MGM and the next day or two we will do parks in the morning then maybe go back to the resort to use the pool and hang-out. I would like to stay on the monorail system but it is not a MUST. We would like a resort with a nice pool area. What would you recommend?

Re: Which Deluxe Resort for May?

Since you are going to be spending time in MGM and a pool and relaxing is important to you, I suggest Beach Club. It's close to both MGM and Epcot and it has the best pool on property.

Re: Which Deluxe Resort for May?

I agree with Dana: if you're going to be spending a lot of time at MGM, then choose one of the Epcot area resorts. You can then either walk or take the boat over there.

That would give you several possibilities for Deluxe resorts:
•Boardwalk
•Yacht or Beach Clubs
•Swan or Dolphin

I agree with Dana....but I'll be there in May/June and staying at the Contemporary....because we spend most of our time at MK.

Re: Which Deluxe Resort for May?

Well for MGM / EPCOT you cannot beat the EPCOT resorts, the pool at Y&BC is my favorite by far. Having said that, after our last stay at the Poly I am in love with being at a monorail resort and the view of the MK from the Poly's volcano pool is pretty darn cool as well! We are doing the CBR this year and it is both a cool pool and an affordable resort for us.

Enjoy, -harry

Re: Which Deluxe Resort for May?

For location I'd agree with Dana, but if you want to be on the monorail line, I'd suggest the Poly.
