Hey mouseketeers!
We are staying at the POR Feb10-17, 2007. Yes, unfortunately the cheerleaders are supposed to be there, but hopefully most of them will be at the value resorts. This will be our first stay at POR. We have two families, me, my DW (will be 5mo pregnant), our 3 kids and my sister and her 2 kids. Anyways, where would be one of the better themed sections/building considering location to snack bar/bus stops/pools. Your experienced help is greatly appreciated. Any cheerleading avoiding advice if you have any. ;)

Re: Best POR section/building?
I'm a big fan of alligator bayou 'cause it's just so cute and cozy (though I could do without the standing "swamp" water in the themeing...). In that section, building 14 is closest to the lobby, food court, and first bus stop. There's also a quiet pool not too far away.
Lots of folks like the mansions best, though, so I'm sure others will chime in...

Re: Best POR section/building?
We loved Alligator Bayou building 14. It is very convenient to everything, busses, food court, lobby and parking. We stayed there in November and have requested the same building for our upcoming Sept trip. Hope this helps and have a great trip

Re: Best POR section/building?
I heard that about the food court, I am hoping they will be done before Feb 10th. I hope someone will report on the expected completion date.

Re: Best POR section/building?
I stayed at the Bayou section for the first time on my last trip (building 37). I didn't think I would like the Bayou but I LOVED it. We had connecting rooms (I was there with extended family as well) and it was great. Building 37 was a bit of a walk to the main areas, though. With little kids it could be a problem, but we enjoyed the little walk, the scenery is just so nice!
