Super Soap Weekend

Hi everyone,
Some friends and I are starting to plan a trip to WDW for sometime early in November, either over the first weekend or the secodn weekend. It just occurred to me that if we go the first weekend, it migght coincide with Super Soap Weekend. Hoe much does this even affect the crowds and does it just affect the Studios or all the Parks and resorts as well? We are hoping to avoid crowds. Our original plan was to go November 5-10 but if the dates for Super Soap are similar to last year, that will fall right in the midst of it. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

In 2002, all of the resort rooms were completely full for the couple of days before and the Super Soap Weekend. While I am not sure of the crowds at the parks, with all the rooms full, it had to be somewhat crowded. I would suggest you avoid it if you can.

we went to see the soap stars VERY VERY CROWDED didnt get to ride anything at MGM an only got to see a few soap stars

Went to disney the end of Oct and the first week of Nov not very crowded until the end of our vacation (soap weekend). It started getting crowded on that Thursday at the parks but before that it was great, walked onto rides with no wait!!!!!!

Unless you're a rabid soap fan,I would avoid the Super Soap weekend.

We had the same question and based on all the good feedback like that which was just given, we actually moved our vacation to mid-Oct.

Actually, it works out nice because we can try to make Mickey's Halloween which sounds neat!

Thanks everyone. I think we will probably try to move our trip either a week earlier or a week later. Are the crowds heavier around Halloween because of the party at MK?

Not really,since the party is after regular park hours.

Another added bonus of going oct/nov is epcots international food and wine festival. For just a few dollars you can "eat your way around the world!" My DH and 2 DS loved this..as did I! :)
