We have finally booked our trip. We'll be staying at SSR for 10 nights at the beginning of May. I'm very excited, it's been 3 1/2 years since our last trip, can't wait to get back there.

BCV was our first choice, and we are wait listed for it, but I'm not holding my breath. I don't think we have much of a chance with getting 10 consecutive nights -- but you never know. Maybe we'll get some of that Mickey Magic.

Thanks to everyone here who helped out with advice on hotels. You all helped alot.

My next task is to pick restaurants and make some ADRs.

O'Hana's for supper
Whispering Canyon for supper
Chef Mickey's for breakfast
Crystal Palace for supper one night
Le Cellier
Spoodles

I'm still researching and we don't really have a "schedule" of which parks we will be going to on specific days, so that makes it a little difficult to make reservations. I dont' want to wait too long though. Wouldn't want to miss out on somewhere that we really wanted to eat.

We stayed at SSR last May because all the other DVC resorts were booked for our dates. We weren't thrilled about it but we ended up pleased bacause the resort is beautiful and the transportation was excellent. There were 3 different days where we were the ONLY family on the bus to the parks. We didn't wait over 10 minutes for any bus the whole trip and rarely stood after the parks closed. When we check in we were told that the studios were all full when we asked to be moved from the Paddock but we rarely saw other guests other than at the main areas.

If you want to be near the main pool area ask to be in The Springs or Congress Park. We waited until we check in and all the rooms were full. It ended up no being a problem but a shorted walk to the pool would have been nice.

You have a lot of great restaurants, some are places we hit every trip. Most of those are really popular places so you will find ARDs helpful.

I plan our park days around the Extra Magic Hour schedule. I either try to avoid it so I plan to go to the park that had EMH the day before or hit MK at morning EMH to get as much done as we can before 11 am. Either way that might help you a little.

Thanks for the info! We've requested The Springs so that we would be close to the pool, but who knows if we will get it or not.

I'm hoping that the BCV comes through, but I am completely content to stay at SSR if BCV don't work out. How can I complain -- I'll be at Disney after all.
