Wilderness Lodge to Fort Wilderness question.

I don't know why I can't remember this, maybe it's been longer than I realized, but when taking the boat from Wilderness Lodge to Fort Wilderness is there a DIRECT boat or do you have to stop other places first? Also, LEAVING Fort Wilderness to go back to WL does it go to WL first?

We have an EARLY morning breakfast ADR at Trail's End for our last morning. The ADR is at 7:30 and Magical Express is picking us up at 9:30 am. Do we have time, what do you think?

I am thinking if the boats are direct it shouldn't be a problem, but I can't remember.

I dont remember exactly but i think the boat goes on a loop from MK-WL-FW. Meaning it goes directly from WL to FW but it goes from FW to MK then to WL.

I think..I only rode the boat once or twice so I am not entirely certain.

THere isn't a boat that just goes between the two resorts.

Ok, I hope I get this right. I thinkt the launch goes in this order in the morning, Magic Kingdon, Fort Wilderness, then Wilderness Lodge. The captain told us it changes in the afternoon so FW would be the first stop but this may have just been that day or week, it may chage.

I remember last summer we had gone over to WL to look around while Nathan was on the Pirate Cruise. Time was running short and I got worried that we wouldn't get back to GF in time. I clearly remember watching the launch come around the bend after going to FW first. Once we go on the boat we went straight to MK.

Two hours should be plenty, especially if you are there befroe 7:30. There is always a cab if you find that you are running out of time but from Trails End I'm not sure if it will save you time, I don't know where you would have to go to get one.

yeah, I VAGUELY remember there being a blue flag boat and a yellow flag or something. Gosh, I wish I could remember!

There are 2 different boats, the smaller one goes to CR, FW, and WL. The larger launch goes to MK, FW, and WL. That morning we were playing beat the Pirate Cruise the smaller boat came FROM CR to WL then to FW. We were trying to decide which boat to get on and passed on the smaller one because we knew it still had to go to FW before going to CR.

There are smaller boats that run in a circuit from FW, WL, Contemporary. The larger boats run to MK.

They change order depending on what time of day it is. Call transportation and ask them if it is FW, WL, then Contem or vice versa. For some reason I think the night run goes Cont, WL, FW but I may be wrong.

There is also a very nice path through the woods between the two resorts that you can take. It is something like a 1/2 mile walk between the two which is nothing for Disney. It is very, very nice and peaceful.
