Re: Poly.

We stayed there last year as part of a Disney land/sea vacation package. We were lucky enough to get a new room and I have to say they are practically perfect in every way. Neat, clean, very nicely decorated, and very well planned out.

I am sure you will enjoy it.

Re: Poly.

We stayed in a new room in Jan. All renovations should be complete and all the room should be newly renovated now.

The room was wonderful and DH wanted to pry the flat screen from the wall and shove it in a suitcase. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable.

Captain Cook's has also just completed renovations and it looks really nice. The kids really enjoyed using the touch screens to order their food.

Re: Poly.

You'll love the new rooms. I loved the decor!!! All rooms are complete, so you will get a updated room. Watching the fireworks from the Polynesian beach is one of the things we love doing the most. When are you planning on going?

Check out tikimans website, it will answer any and most questions about the polynesian. tikiman2001 Steve has done a amazing job with his website.
Enjoy the planning

Like quartz already suggested, you should visit the Tikiman's site. It really is a wonderful site. It will tell you the pros and cons of each longhouse to help you decide which one is best for you.

We stayed at Rarotonga. It's super close to the Ceremonial House and non-smoking. It was perfect for us. You may want to be closer to the pool or to the TTC. Tikiman's site will help you decide. He has great pictures, too.

We have stayed in Hawaii(concierge), Tahiti and Tokelau. I really liked Hawaii for the location and the concierge, but it is really pricey. Tokelau is great, the rooms are bigger, I definitly noticed the size difference. It's right outside of the quiet pool and the swimming ducks!! LOL I didn't like Tahiti because it was quit a walk for your morning breakfast.

Re: Poly.

it is as stunning as always, just seems bigger in places! Tiki man is the best guy for advice on the Poly though. We stayed in Tokelau when we were there and found it really nice. A fair enough distance from the main hub hub but still very close to all amenties. You will adore it- i guarantee!

Re: Poly.

I didn't know Poly was being refurbed! That's awesome! I've always wanted to stay there but from what I'd seen, it looked very outdated and aged. Maybe that will now have to go on my possibilities of places to stay. We were only considering CBR and Wilderness Lodge before (adore both!).

Re: Poly.

Visiting Poly May 07' - requested room closer to main house due to daughter with heart condition (limited walking) - they promise they will have room closer for us and also - already making sure getting non-smoking room and also "special cleaning" done daily for someone who has to have "air quality" room - this is great information for anyone with heart ailments, asthma, lung disease, etc. Keep in mind and no extra charge incurred.

Re: Poly.

Good afternoon everyone,
If you want great information on the POLY, goto tikiman2001 . It is the best site of the POLY around. I have stayed here 3 times, all before latest refurb. Wife and I are spending 5th anniversary here 10/23-10/30.
