ADR and changing resorts?
OK somebody slap me!! I am questioning our resort decision AGAIN and we are already booked. We are booked at POP and I am thinking about changing to a moderate. We have already made all our ADRs. If we change resorts does that affect the ADRs???? Also if free dining doesn't happen, I am going to have to stick to POP, because we cannot afford the extra cost to upgrade. I am also hoping for a great seat sale on the airfare...just waiting it out for that.
What would you do? My main and basically only concern with Pop, is that it may just be too busy for us. Food court, pools, etc. and that we won't find it a peaceful place to relax. The rooms size, amenties, location etc don't bother me at all. Geez, I am thinking about this too much, to the point of obsession...I swore once I booked I wouldn't look at any more pictures of other resorts or read anymore reviews.

Re: ADR and changing resorts?
Oh gosh, I know exactly what you are going through. I am the queen of second guessing myself and my decisions. I have never stayed at POP, so I can't help you with that, but I can tell you that your adrs should not be affected, as they are listed under your phone number, and are made separately from your room reservation. But, you can always call Disney dining and confirm them.

Re: ADR and changing resorts?
Like others have said, your ADRs will be fine. We changed our reservation a couple of weeks ago after having everything set.

Re: ADR and changing resorts?
The resort decision is always one of the hardest because there are so many wonderful choices. I would wait and confirm my flight and free dining THEN upgrade if you want to. I've never stayed at Pop or a value but if I had the choice to upgrade I certainly would. Either way your ADR's won't be affected.

Re: ADR and changing resorts?
I discussed it with DH last night and we may do it. I am still trying to justify the extra cost which is about $600. I wish it were easier to decide. We also go back and forth between which moderate we would upgrade to. CSR or POFQ. It is good to know the ADRs won't be affected if we change though.
I think I am thinking about this too much. I guess it is because this is the first time travelling with our son and I wanted everything to go smoothly. Thanks again for the help!

Re: ADR and changing resorts?
Well we talked some more and we decided no upgrading, we are going to stay put at Pop. I had a moment of weakness. Forgive me. I think Noah will be happy there and I just cannot bring myself to spend the extra $. And if a seat sale or free DDP come along the extra added savings we can put towards another vacation in a few years. I would love to take Noah to Tortola one day. I love it there.
DayDreamer-I like your idea of finding out everything I can about the hotel. I am going to do that. All the pictures I have seen of it so far look great. Anyways thanks for the help, and putting up with my mind changing back and forth.

Re: ADR and changing resorts?
Spend the extra $$$. We waited 8 busses from epcot after the fireworks, and 65 minutes at the check in. No restaurants and the food court was a madhouse between 8am -10am and 5-9pm. It was kinda fun surroundings but not worth the savings. IMHO.

We stayed at Pop a few weeks ago and it was a VERY busy time at all of the parks but we never had a problem with the buses. The first week in September is a pretty low-key time so I think she will be fine.

I think you made the rigt decision. Put your extra money towards your next trip and stay at a moderate then. Pop isn't my favorite place, personally, but a lot of people love it there! ![]()
