Some more questions about Pop

Since I am staying here I guess it would be nice to know:
1- Do they have a hair dryer in the room?
2- Are there in-room safes?
3- Do all of the buildings have elevators?
4- Is the bus stop fairly close to most rooms?

I think that is all for now. I may have more questions for everyone later. Thanks.

Re: Some more questions about Pop

I have never stayed at the POP but i did at all star movies and from there the bus is pretty close to the room I had. No hairdryer and yes to the safe. If u loose the key they will charge u $50.00 (from experience) Have a great trip. Im sure you will LOVE it.

Re: Some more questions about Pop

In response to #4, no. Some of the buildings are a fairly good hike. It's really not that bad unless you've been on your feet all day walking and it's raining when you get back at 10:30 at night. . . (speaking from experience here ) But that only happened once. We stayed in the 50's building overlooking the lake. The 60's building is a preferred building but personally I don't know if it's worth the extra money to stay there. Others who have stayed there really liked it! FWIW, we loved staying at Pop!!

Re: Some more questions about Pop

I am pretty sure we had a hair dryer mounted on the wall & safe in room. They are not very big.. but will hold small items like money, keys, small electonics (ipods) etc. They do have elevators. From what I can remember the bus stop is right in front of the main entrance. Not exactly close to all of the buildings.

Re: Some more questions about Pop

1. Yes they have hair dryers.
2. Yes they have a safe, although not ver large. Good for wallets, ipods,
small camera.
3. There are elevators in all buildings.
4. The hike can be kinda far. Daisee is correct, it is near the main entrance.
It can seem far at the end of a long day. It depends on what building
you are in.

nikki - I think the hair dryers at pop are your typical hotel room hair dryer like at the other resorts. I always bring my own cause they take FOREVER to dry all my hair..lol The in room safe are also the standard ones I am certain. You should have your room located in a preferred area if you can. Pay the extra $10 a night to ensure you are close to the main areas..

Re: Some more questions about Pop

Is it pretty easy to navigate the resort? I am thinking they provide a resort map at check-in, yes?

Re: Some more questions about Pop

It is easy to navigate, especially because of all the larger than life icons for each era. You get a map when you check in but I think allears has one on their website as well.

You can go to all ears and get a map right now and yes, they usually hand out a map and circle your room location so you can find it.

here's a link to the map http://www.allearsnet.com/acc/popmap1.jpg

My hair is so short that it takes less than a minute to dry with a dryer, but does not dry well naturally. I have the world's worst hair.

Then you will be A-ok! I thick , massive hair that goes down to the middle of my back, so a good hair dryer takes 20minutes off my "get ready" time..lol

Oh good, I thought that I had the world's worst hair. I took 10 minutes to iron my short hair yesterday and I stepped outside only to be in a cloud of fog and immediately my afro was back
I hate going to Florida for that one reason alone. Afro pains.

I don't have even one curl or ounce of body at all in my hair. Instead I have been blessed with lovely cowlicks all over my head. I go short and messy (a little spiky even.) My daughter calls it shark hair.

ROTF @ shark hair!!!

The only thing that I have to add is that while a preferred room in the 60's building will be close to the main building for the buses and the food court, you'll also be at the center of Pop Century and even durning the down season in January, there was alot of people there and alot of noise.
