We don't currently belong to AAA, but we have our trip planned for Dec.18th-26th (that is during value season).
We have a package booked during our stay

If I sign up with AAA and have my trip booked through mouseketrips, can they apply a discount to our trip or do I need to do the trip through AAA ? Its a package so i don't know if there is a discount for that or not, I saw its room only at 20% off at a value.

Wondering if there is much benefit in AAA

I think triple A has to book it for you to get their discount...not positive on that, but almost certain. Call keith and ask him to be sure. If any discounts come out for that time frame, mousektrips will automatically book it for you where triple A won't...you will have to call and tell them. I would just keep your reservation with mousektrips....that's just me though.

i was planning to keep it with them I was just curious if I was a A member if that can be used as well.every little buck will help;)

I would just call them...I am just not sure. I thought you had to book through AAA to get it though.

I don't have an answer to your question, but as someone who has a horrible reputation for locking her keys in her car...and just had her car break down on the freeway a few days ago...I have to say that AAA is worth the purchase for more than just the discount on trips!!

Iam preety sure you do have to go through AAA. But I don't know if you will get more than one discount anyway.

I just found out a couple of days ago--thru personal experience that Disney will only give you a room only discount with AAA. You cannot book packages thru Disney with a AAA discount.

But I did call AAA and talked to one of their Travel Agents and they can get the discounted package for you.
Here's what I priced out if you'd like to know price different between Disney and AAA.

POR (waterview room)--Magic your way w/dining--8 day Park Hoppers for 2 adults and 1 child

Disney price: $2918.82
AAA price: $2630.82
savings of: $288.00


AKL-savannah view room--magic your way w/dining--8 day park hoppers for 2 adults and 1 child

Disney price: $4043.94
AAA price: $3659.14
savings of: $384.80


The annual cost of AAA pays for itself in the discounts alone! This is our first year with AAA and this alone is worth it to us. But it's a personal choice.

This is my 3rd year of booking my Disney package vacation with AAA and I love the discounts they give you and extra perks!
It's all about the extra perks for me!
And yeah you have to book with them (AAA) Directly.

Also when Disney comes out with sales, like for me it's usually the fall sale according to when I travel in the fall, I just call AAA up and I pay a change fee (as my package is already paid off) and they apply the discount which I usually get $300-400 back! What they are really doing is deducting that change fee of like $50 from the discount, no biggie, still $$ in my pocket!!

NOPE!!!! There are no hidden fees of any kind. You can also buy park only tickets for around the US too.

On packages- the deposit is $200.00 and final payment is due 45days before departure to Disney.
If you buy airline tickets thru them (published fare), you pay for the tickets IN FULL as if you were to buy them thru the airline directly. You can also take out Insurance on your air flights thru AAA (that is separate from the package insurance, which I always get *just in case*)

AAA has been great, but I believe you have to bbok through them. I have checked that prices for Disney through at least 10 places and AAA has been the cheapest by far. They will even do ADR and have a great deal where a character will read a story in the MK.

I am a member and have been for 5 years and we have never used triple A for a disney trip. I think it is a package. We haven't ever used it because it is set days and certain things included with this and that!!
