Re: Wilderness Lodge
You WILL love it.
It is a really beautiful resort. I can't think of anything we didn't like. The pool is cool with a fun water slide. The boat ride to MK is relaxing and the kids loved it. From the restaurants to seeing the fireworks over the castle from our balcony at night to the bunk beds in the rooms...it is a great resort.

Re: Wilderness Lodge
BEEEUUUTTIIIFUULLL!!! Can not go wrong with this resort. It is surrounded by lush wilderness. It is private, quiet, cool pool w/ slide. Boat launch is perfect to get to MK. Whispering Canyon is a great restaurant and fun for the kids. Rooms are very nice, clean, and well themed. This resort is so well done.. NOT overdone. Lobby will take your breathe away.. especially the fireplace & spring. It is close to Fort Wilderness to enjoy the fun things it has to offer such as Hoop Dee Doo, Trails End Buffet, bikes, mouse boats, beach... etc.. shall I go on.. can you tell I love this place???

Re: Wilderness Lodge
Thank you. I have walked thru but never stayed there. It's just so much money that I'm getting cold feet.
Does everybody agree that the bunk beds are true twin beds and not smaller versions? I want to make sure my teenager will fit in the bottom bunk.

Re: Wilderness Lodge
The Wilderness Resort is great. Staying at any Disney Resort that is listed as Deluxe is a real treat. Whispering Canyon is a great place for kids meals if you haven't made any ADR's yet. One of the things you are going to want to do is wake up extra early one morning (you, not the kids) and go walk the resort with your camera. You will have it all to yourself and the pictures are phenomenal.

Re: Wilderness Lodge
You have NO reason to be nervous WHAT SO EVER, coming from someone who's stayed at NEARLY every resort on property the Wilderness Lodge is our new favorite, well besides AKL that is. The WL is AMAZING, beautiful scenery, great pool, nice dining options, cozy little beach, stocked pool bar, sweet hot tub, BOATS to the Magic Kingdom, breath-taking lobby, comfortable & cozy rooms, there is NOTHING missing from this resort!
