ASMo Fantasia Pool Rehab. done??

has anyone been to ASMo latey? is the pool rehab. done? how does it look?? any diff. than before??

I just looked on allears for you and don't see any updates pictures. Try calling the resort and asking.

i found a post on the DIS Board that says it was to reopen 2-18, but no pics! not sure if it did indeed reopen.

hopefully someone has stayed there recently or will be staying thre and can clue us in! :C)

Maybe they just redid the same pool and didn't change anything and that's why there aren't pictures.

My DD loved that pool when we stayed there. We were in the mighty ducks section and she made me go all the way to that pool so she could swim in it. It worked out perfectly as it was near the bar and we met a huge group of people from australia that we were hanging out with....great trip.

Don't you just love meeting all kinds of people? On our last trip we meet some people from the UK and I could just listen all day to them talk! These people were so nice and friendly!

Years ago I became a Certified Pool Operator to run the pool at my first camp. So I know a little about caring for pools. Anyway, when I read about a "pool rehab," I just assume it's routine maintanence--The pool is drained. Leaks are repaired. Cracks are caulked. Everything is repainted.

When all is said and done, it should look like the same pool, just newer/fresher.

BTW, the typical pool should have it's chlorine level kept between 1-3 parts per million (PPM). At that level, the kid next to you can be peeing in the water and the mouth full you get is still cleaner than what comes out of your faucet at home.

When someone pukes or poops in a pool, chlorine levels have to be raised at 7-8ppm to kill all nasties and then given time for levels to return to 1-3ppm. (At 7ppm, your swimsuit and hair would dissolve in a matter of minutes.)
