OK - so as of now we have 2 room for 4 nites at PC beginning Dec. 26 & 2 rooms at POFQ Dec. 30- & 31, departing Jan. 1...My DW, DD (21) and me along with my brother-in-law, his wife and their DD (15). DS and his new bride (that is if the June 2 wedding goes as planned-lol) may join us but they aren't sure yet. (DS is the cute little guy in my Avatar. DS is hugging him - boy was THAT posed)

ANYWAY- Keith (Mickey/Mousketrips) suggested we look into renting DVC points and staying the last 2 nites in a couple villas at either Beach Club of Boardwalk instead of at the FQ - the price would probably be basically the same as FQ. He hooked me up with a discussion board where DVC points are advertised, searched for & swaped. I posted our needs on the board and am going to start searching on there for someone who owns at BC or BW to contact directly.

Has anyone on here ever done the points rental thing? We never have, but if we could work it out, it sounds neat...

(Last time we stayed during Xmas week, we stayed at the Dolphin and used my teachers discount. But they're not honoring the teachers discount during Xmas week this year...)

Yes, We rented points from a MB'er for a great/going rate. We are booked for Old Key West. We paid through PayPal and the owner booked the suite in our name for our requested dates. The owner received the confirmation and then mailed it to us. Working out good so far!
