cast member discount for rooms
My dd is in the college program and I had her check rates for me using her discount but I didn't think the discount was that good
Any advice on getting a better employee discount for any of the resorts? Thanks, the optimist ![]()

Re: cast member discount for rooms
Cast member discounts are pretty limited. Where are you looking to stay and when in what level of resort? I've booked several trips for friends/family now, and it really seems to vary daily what discounts are offered.
A greater discount is offered if the CM is staying IN the room with you. HOWEVER, there is also a per-person/per-day charge, so you need to price it both ways to figure out which will be cheaper for you. Let me know if you have questions! |

Re: cast member discount for rooms
I would like to come in June and stay at a deluxe but with a good rate. Is it better to try the week or two before?

Re: cast member discount for rooms
In my experience the Deluxe rooms are usually what remains after everything else is sold out. However, a week or two is probably cutting it a little close. CM's who book online through the CM site must do so 7 days in advance. I would tell DD to keep watching and to price it both ways!

Re: cast member discount for rooms
I almost always stayed at the Deluxe when I was a CM. Rates were about 1/3 of Rack, which was very sweet. You were close to everything, bigger room than the Value, etc. I got spoiled! Deluxe rooms were easier to get too! I could usually call a few days ahead of time and get a Deluxe room (occassionaly a Mod) and pick up and go, but if I tried that with a Value, there was NO WAY I would get one.
