Ever stayed at multiple resorts during one visit to WDW?

I think I may have read of some here staying at 2 different resorts during their trip to WDW. I would love to hear what that was like and what resorts combinations each vacationer chose.

I think I would love to stay at the AKL then Cont then WL for 2 days each.

Anyone? Just curious.

I have heard of people doing this and we have thought about trying it too .. I know from what I have heard they will move you things for you from one resort to another and that they do make it easy. We have been thinking all about doing it since next year we are going to stay three weeks, might be fun to stay at 3 different resorts :)

My DH and I did change resorts this past Nov./Dec. We stayed 5 nights at the CSR and then moved on over to the AKL for six nights. The Resort will send your luggage. The only thing we found out is that your luggage may not arrive till after 3pm, but it's never been a problem for us.
This time we are just staying at the CSR for our entire stay, because we got such a great deal on the room. So, my DH said why Move !!! And we do like the CSR very much!!!
If you decide, I'm sure you will not have a problem!!! Good Luck!!:) JOANN

We were actually going to do that in August. We were going to stay at POR and move to the WL. What changed my mind was the thought of packing everything up for three little ones ( and my DH) and moving. It seemed like a hassle for a bigger family. I just really wanted a little variety. So...I opted to stay all eight days at the WL and come back in Dec. and stay somewhere else!:D :)

Hi snowmedia,

We have done the resort change. We stayed 4 nights each at the Polyensian, the Contemporary and the Grand Floridian. We loved it. It was fun!!! We didn't have kids yet, so I don't think I would do it with real little ones, but maybe with school-agers. It was like getting excited to leave for your trip every 4 days.

I have stayed in as many as 5 resorts in 15 nights! Our summer trip to WDW is typically 2 weeks or more and we stay in at least 3 different places.

We actually did this last year. It was actually my DW's idea, bless her. We stayed 4 nights at AKL and 4 nights at POR. It worked great. They will move your bags for you but since we had a rental car we took care of it by ourselves.

We did it with our then 6 and 8 year old kids. They thought it was neat, like two vacations in one.

I don't know if I would move 3X in 6 days though. Sounds like a bit much.

Good Luck!

:D

I probably won't being doing the multiple resort stay trip for awhile now. Just something I was curious about trying sometime in the distant future. Right now I would be happy just to go and stay at one resort. :)

Thanks for the sharing, I would still love to hear any others who have done the multiple resort stay.

I guess the closest thing I have done would be the 3 by land 4 by sea trip, where we stayed at the beach club resort then went on a Disney cruise.

I also agree, if you have small children, a move to another resort could become a little hectic!!! (especially for the parent doing all the packing and unpacking).
Our family is all grown, so everyone is in their own room and doing their own packing!!!! That makes it much easier!!

 JOANN:)
