Well, now that we finally got our son's wedding out of the way - lol - we can get back to the serious business of planing our December vacation to WDW! (DS is the cute little guy in my Avatar taken with his sister about 15 years ago in front Cindy's Castle)...

Wedding went off without a single problem. The Celtic musical group (fiddle, piano, flute and Irish whistle) played great and the bagpiper that led us out of church lifted the roof off the place! Both families are 200 percent Irish! Happy couple is honeymooning at guess where - yup - WDW. Son is an EMT/Firefighter and new bride just graduated college and is looking for fulltime work as an elementary school teacher. She's got a job teaching summer school and hopes that may lead to something...

Anyway, down to "business:"

We have ressies at PC Dec. 28-Jan. 3. Two rooms for eight of us... We've stayed at all levels of resorts and we really like PC. Besides, it fits everyone's budget for this trip, what with all those wedding expenses (btw: The old days of the groom's family paying only for the rehearsal dinner are ancient history). DW, DD, DS, DDIL, BIL, SIL, DN and I round out the group.

We're kind of thinking about Rose & Crown for dinner late NYE. How far in advance can we get priority seating? A few years ago we had NYE dinner at Le Cellier and it was great - fireworks were just beginning as we emerged from the restaurant.

Some of us are thinking about golfing at least once (never have golfed at WDW) and trying parasailing. Anyone advise on either?

We'll have many more posts regarding our trip planning, now that the obsession over the nuptuals is over.

You can book all your ADRs (up to 10 days) 180 days from the first day of your trip.

this is why you hand them a couple of thousand dollars and tell them you'll help them get a mortgage and send them on their way to elopement

Will do - I can't wait to show them off ... they COST enough. ;)

You should get on the phone exactly 180 days before your trip starts and book all of your dining...do not hesitate...get on that phone the very first day. As for golf etc, I think you can do that 60 days in advance by calling WDW-PLAY, but don't quote me on that as I have never done either. Call WDW now nad ask them when the first day you can try booking all of the above is so you are prepared come show time.

Congrats on the wedding. Tell your DIL that she got very lucky. My DH is a Firefighter/EMT and he is the best. And the very, very best is a DH who does all of the above and wants to honeymoon in WDW.
