How many "bags" do you show up with?

I'm very curious to see how many suitcases and bags you all show up with at the resort.
There are (5) of us, so we have like 5 suitcases, then of course eveyrone needs to carry on something. Like the diaper bag, camera bag, a backpack for each kid. Oh, and we'll have the stroller and car seat. Then we'll stop for a grocey stop on the way in.................whew! Seems like wayyyyyyyyyy to much stuff to me! Sure hope we aren't alone!
Thanks!!

We have three suitcases and one personal bag per person, but one of our suitcases looks as big as a bodybag.

I am a little worried this trip though, since I'm pre-purchasing things to save money. I bought a Pal Mickey online ($55!!) and the Sleeping Beauty toddler doll that will be 'delivered' to the room ($14 - it's twice that in the parks) and a couple of bottles of wine. I like knowing that stuff will be coming out of the bags in case we buy stuff to bring home (and usually save every scrap I can to scrabpook with)

We also have a folding tote that opens up pretty large, that I pack 'just in case' for the return trip home. Usually works really well.

Buzz, each of us has a roller suitcase ( size varies by person ), and a matching duffle type bag which attaches to the suitcase. Then I have a hard shell camera case, my wife has a good size carry on , and each of the children has a backpack.

In our defence we always go during the off-season and have to pack both a warm and cold weather wardrobe.

Enjoy,
-harry

My DH puts a limit on the bags if we fly and we only take 2 large 29" suitcases a backpack and small carry-on. If we drive.... well, lets just say that I take advantage of the minivan cargo area!! I don't even want to tell you how many pillows we pack! When we fly, we have to pack light which means we have to use the resort laundry facilities but driving allows me to pack enough clothes that we don't have to wash!

:D And I thought I was over packing..glad to hear that I am not the only one. Makes me feel much better. It has been a long time since we have taken a vacation. There are four of us so we each have our own suitcase, 1 small packpack for the parks, a bag for the toys that we bring with us, a bag for soap, shampoo, toothburshes...ect.., 2 bellybags..a few pillows and a blanket. Oh by the way we will be driving. And a laundry bag for dirty clothes. I think that is it, I hope.

Since we fly (little far to drive from CO!) we take our limit...2 check ins each & a carry on each. One reason is we're always there more than a week & I REFUSE to do laundry while I'm on vacation. Another reason is I have to leave room to bring back all the stuff we buy while we're there!

I always fly alone and I usually bring one 30-inch suitcase, my pull behind carry-on and my shoulder bag with my camera and purse in it. I bring a big suitcase because I usually end up going home with much more then when I left! We always make a stop at the Disney outlet store and I collect Disney mugs. I AWAYS pack my carry-on with 2 sets of clothes, my PJs, medications, camera & toiletries. I have the bad luck of having my bags "misplaced" by airlines. That is what I get for flying out of a small airport (usually on a 30 seat airplane) :nooo:

That sounds good, Buzz. We are a family of 5. I pack one large roller suitcase for each of us , including the 17 month old. I count on using the "extra" space for the stuff we buy in WDW. Each child get a backpack, DH, camera bag and me,diaper bag. PLUS, car seats and stroller! Last time we went to DL I purchased a huge snowglobe for my collection and took that on the plane as well.

We use curbside check-in. So just unload the car and leave it at the curb. The guys are all over the place and eager to help. My husband parks and I hang out with the kids with just the stroller.

We usually pack one HUGE 30" roller suitcase, a small roller suitcase and a few carry-ons. However, now the airlines are really enforcing the luggage weight limits and we ALWAYS overpack, so our big suitcase is always over the limit...we just went out to buy two new 26" suitcases (one for me, one for DH) and we will use the small one for my DS. Plus, diaper bag, car seat, stroller, toys, video camera....the list goes on and on....

There four of us, myself, DW and DS's. I usually pack one large suitcase. My DW packs usually one bag for her and the DS's and in the past we took one more smaller bag which contained all the baby stuff (Diapers, pullups, wipes etc) That way at the end of the stay we had a bag to pack out souveniers in!

Those of you flying,I would weigh your suitcases before going, because the airlines are cracking down on weight limits. I'm not sure of the limits, but I THINK it's 50 pounds.

OMG....I pack EVERYTHING...once even the kitchen sink (j/k!)

We have a full size conversion van, with a wheeless trailer....the entire back end of our van is filled up, as well as the trailer.

My parents will be riding with us this time....I'm going to have to pack lighter this time, so there will be room for my parents luggage.

We won't have to take all the "baby stuff" this time since our daughter doesn't need diapers, etc. anymore. Yahoo!

For myself, DW, 2 DDs (3 and 5), we are planning on flying with the following to the Poly for 7 days:

Checked in:
Me: 1 large roller suitcase
DW: 1 smaller roller suitcase
2 DDs: 1 even smaller roller suitcase for both
2 strollers
2 low profile carseats

Carry-ons:
Me: camcorder (plus a souvenir bag on the return flight)
DW: 1 suitcase carry-on and 1 travel bag
DDs: 1 suitcase carry-on plus 1 small backpack each

I know that for at lease Delta, you are allowed the follwing per paid ticket (childs ticket at least 50% of adult fare):
2 checked in suitcases
1 carry-on plus 1 personal item (purse, CD player, laptop, diaper bag, or other small item

We could have brought more to carry souvenirs but there is only so much you can carry through the airport.

We actually had to purchase new luggage because what we had was too big. Seems there are some new requirements since we last flew.
Suitcases must be no more that 50lbs or you will be charged an extra $25 for luggage 51-100lbs.
The size must be mo more than 62 inches of adding length+width+height or pay an extra $100 per oversized bag.
I thought I would relay this information.

Almost ready for bed for a 6AM limo pick-up! :laugh :) ;pirate:
