FW cabin or two AS

Ok...we are going in Oct of 2004...will see if my countdown worked.

Which would you choose? A FW cabins...strolling around the park back there, or two AS rooms?

It would be myself, DH, two 18 year old girls, and two boys 10, 7.

What would you do?

Lisa:)

I would love to stay in the cabins some day.
Several times we have gone to WDW and rented bikes for a day or so to explore Fort wilderness. We even rented a golf cart once and traveled from playground to zoo to general store.

I vote the cabins. It is so relaxing at the camp, and October is a great ime of the year. Your girls are old enough to venture out on their own. Once they master the transportation, the world is theirs. And the boys will find enough stuff around the camp to keep them busy.

I would pick the 2 All-Star rooms. Having the 2nd bathroom would be a godsend with 2 18year old girls. The cabin has a Murphy bed in the living room which is not as comfortable as a bed.

And if you got 2 All-Star rooms, you could put the kids all in one room and have a room all to your husband and you! :)

The food courts at the All-Stars are great. Unless you are going to cook all your meals in the cabin, it is more time-consuming to get meals out when at Ft Wilderness.

you make a really good point jmouse, specially about the 18 year old girls and the additional bathroom. We did get two rooms at the ASM once when our daughter went, and she maybe grown, married and a mother of 2 but she still takes hours in the bathroom. I agree too about the food courts at the All Stars.

I agree with jmouse and tinkerbell....

The upbeat atmosphere of the All Stars (especially movies and music or the Pop Century) would be more appealing to the kids. Personally, I LOVE visiting Fort Wilderness, but I don't think I would like to stay there 24/7. I love the convenience of the buses at the All Stars, and I don't feel like I would have the same feeling at Fort Wilderness. The pools and playground at All Stars are very convenient, as well as the food court, game room, bus stops, and with that many people, don't forget the refillable mugs!!
