Experience with All-Star Suites

Greetings,

We are a couple of days away from booking our December trip (12/8 - 12/15) and I have our choices narrowed down to two. The Wilderness Lodge, or the All-Star Music (Suites).

Having stayed at the Lodge before I know how incredible it is, particularly around Christmastime. That said, the suites at the All-Star are appealing as we have two teenagers and could certainly use the extra room.

We have never stayed at one of the value resorts before so I'm looking for a little insight.

We are looking at a trip in 2008 with 3 kids (12, 10 and 5) so we either need to stay at the suites or POFQ or a deluxe. Its a hard decision b/c we stayed at POP and there are certain amenities that I missed (hot tub for one). However, 2 rooms (and two bathrooms) sounds like a dream.

I am interested to hear what people say!

Having two teenage girls, I would push for the two rooms, I like to get into the bathroom when I need it.

We have not stayed in the ASM suites... but we did do 2 adjoining rooms at POP and it was wonderful.. 2 of everything.. made for a much easier stay.

Here is the description from All Ears of the ASM suites, sounds like a good deal for the price:

Each suite will sleep up to 6, plus one child in a Pak-n-Play crib. The master bedroom and family room have a 27" flat screen TV as well as high speed internet access. There is a queen bed (sleeps 2), full-size pullout sofa (sleeps 2), convertible ottoman and chair sleeper (sleeps 2). The kitchenette will have a microwave and small refrigerator (4.3 cubic feet) plus a coffeemaker. There are two full bathrooms.

Extra bathroom is a PLUS, and the kitchenette is good for early morning/midnight snacks!!

We stay at All Star Music all the time . . . we like it!

We have never stayed at the suites but we loved the All Star Movies resort. We stayed there until we bought our DVC and we loved it there. Even being at a DVC now I miss the All Star food court. I think they had a much better variety of choices. I would stay there anytime!
