another room request question

So, next month we are booked at POFQ. I didn't reserve a room with a view or anything. But, being 8 months pregnant when I'm there

, I wanted to request a room near the main building/food court/bus stops. You know, to minimize walking around after running around the parks all day.

Do you think it's OK to fax a letter to the resort just requesting a first floor room near the main building, or would it be a waste of time? We are going to have 3 rooms booked, since it's a gathering event and I would like us all to be near eachother. Do the resorts still look at room requests??

I would call them and then fax your request.

I know you can make requests... but they make no guarantees.

Most resorts would be more than happy to accomidate your needs. My Dad just got back from WDW and had requested (5 days before his trip) a waterview, corner room, in Jamaica at CBR. He got it with no issues. I'd call and place the request.

I have heard the resorts are no longer taking faxed room requests. You can have it noted in your reservation and ask again at check in. POFQ is so small that even if you aren't in the closest building you'll still be in good shape.

Call them, have it put on your reservation and usually Disney is pretty accommodating. Most of the requests we have ever made, they follow through with. Honestly, I can't think of one they actually haven't done on any of the reservations we made (at least within reason).

Wow, you are a brave woman to go at that stage of your life. My doctor wouldn't let me out of bed for the last two months of pregnancy. Will you be able to ride any rides?

I bet they will try to get you the most convenient room once they see your girth

My best friend went a year ago in May and she was 30 weeks pregnant and had a great time. She said she felt great. Just make sure you take frequent breaks so you don't overdo it. :) Maybe take the gel ice packs with you to put on your feet at the end of the day to help with the swelling and such. :) Lucky her, she's going again in about a month.
