Fishing on the 7 seas

My husband would like to go fishing on the Seven Seas Lagoon. It is something he has always wanted to do. Has anyone ever gone on the fishing excursion? I think is is 180.00 for two hours of fishing. Just wondering if it is worth the money. Thanks for any tips/input.

Hi Karen and Welcome!

You ask a great questiion! Dh and I have gone fishing at WDW 3 different times, 2 times at the BoardWalk and 1 time at the Contemporary.

The 7 am BoardWalk excursion is our favorite. Fishing Guide Terry (our favorite) takes you out to catch small-mouth bass in Crescent Lake, outside the gates of the Disney Stidios, and :!: in World Showcase. Let me tell you, there is nothing like being in Epcot when all is quiet and all you can hear is the music piped over the loud speakers. A great picture taking opportunity! Definately worth the cost. Terry was great with my little boy(1 1/2)...he even showed him how to fish and drive the boat.

Dh and I went on the Bay Lake excursion in February. This trip also included fishing in Seven Seas Lagoon. The guide was very friendly and took us to all the hot spot to catch large-mouth bass. Dh caught one right outside of the Grand Floridian. Again, a great picture taking opportunity.

Both guides kept us out well beyound the 2 hour mark...so we could catch more fish. Both guides were friendly, and provided drinks and lots of fishing gear. All in all definately worth the cost. And a great way to relax in the World!

Thanks for all of the good info. We were trying to decide what time to go. We were leaning toward the 7:00am, and now I think that is when we will go. Our daughter is three and she will go with also, so I was glad to hear that your 1 1/2 year old had fun too. Thanks again for the info. We are staying at the contemporary and going fishing next Sunday the 18th. I 'll let you know how it goes!
Thanks Again!
