POLL: Monorail v. Ferry

Ok all you Disney Travellers, what is your favorite means of transportation to the Magic Kingdom, monorail or ferry?

I personally love the monorail. I still feel the same sense of excitement being in the first car as it pulls into the Contemporary.

Sorry, for some reason this thread got stuck in the system, and I finally got it out.

Personally, I like the resort monorail. It may be slow, but it is fun to see the resorts up close and not flying by.

I also vote for the monorail; the ferry is slow and plodding while the monorail does give me the desire to stay at the GL, Contem and Poly resorts.

We've always taken the ferry. We've always been there at opening and the monorail always seems so jammed...

Now that we'll be staying at Wilderness Lodge, though, we'll be taking the launch from there. If I never have to see the TTC again, I'd be a happy man! :D

Most often we ride the Monorail for convenience. We have used the ferry several times, and I think we enjoyed it the most when we weren't in a hurry to get someplace (like heading back to the resort after the fireworks end at Epcot.)

I, too, would be happy never to use the TTC again!

For me, the monorail is more convenient, but the ferry is more fun-better ambience and all that.;) ;) :) :)

personally i saw a tie between these to when i decided. I love the monorail when i stayed at the contemporary in feb.
(ugh..memories..) but it took us a while to get to the magic kingdom becuase even though the park is right next door the resort monorail had to stop at the poly, then the GF before arrving at the MK. I loved being able to show off that i was staying at the contemporary by getting off the monorail there as the other families stared at the beautiful lobby in awe, lol. i also like The ferry becuase of personal memories, thats where when my brother was little (whenever the age is that u wear dipers, 1 or 2?) and he when he went in his diper that day it stunk REALLY REALLY bad, my mom had to take him on the ferry to the CBR or was it when we stayed in the log cabins?? to get another diper
( is that located by the ferry? i think thats where we stayed, lol) anyways.... the ride on the ferry was jam packed of tired guests and there was a HUGE circle around me and my mom of empty seats becuase no one dared to sit near us, lol. but i still enjoy looking on the water and seeing the GF all light up. it gives u time to sit down and think of the great day u just had.... well thats my opinion!!!

Monorail would have to be my vote since we learned that at each stop 4 people can ride in the front seats like you are driveing, it was great and my kids loved it. You have to ask if someone else has requested it and if not you can ask for it. We only had to wait one extra train and it was well worth it. :)

iamagrump (or any other members in the know!), when did you learn about riding in front? The reason I ask is, when we were in Disneyland in mid-February, we were told that, due to security concerns, passengers were no longer allowed to ride up front.:( It would be nice if Disney has reverted its stance.

Lopo,
We were just at WDW and we rode up front. Actually someone on the bus told us about it on the way to MK.

Hmmmmm

Well, that all depends. My favorite is definetly the monorail, just because they are so cool. I do have to say that during the busy times, like park opening, and park closing, the ferry is much quicker loading, so I usually take it during those times. But the monorail RULES!:D
