Beach or Yacht Club?
I'm dreaming of a way-future trip, and trying to decide between these two resorts. So, I could have asked this question in a year or two, lol!, but felt like asking now as I can't stop thinking about it! I saw the travel channel shows on both, but still couldn't tell. I just looked at the pics on the Disney site, and I'm thinking Yacht (love that family in the room ;) ), but still not sure. Which of the two would be more adult oriented, have less kids (or more reserved English boarding school kinda behaved kids in crested blazers and ties, lol), and have the most overly stuffy sophisticated non-fun atmosphere? (Yeah, I am serious and yeah, I am kinda sick. ;) ) If you've ever been in the lobby of the Four Season in NYC, I want it to be like THAT. I know there isn't all that much difference between Disney resorts, but for instance people say Coronado is more business and less family oriented, so I thought maybe there was a difference between these two.

Basically, it is one big resort. The Yacht club tends to be more adult because of the attached convention center, and Beach Club is more family becasue of the attached Beach Club Villas. The two resorts share the main pool, restaurants and transportation (well, there is a bus stop at each resort).
Based on your description, I am not sure either is going to fit that, but the Yacht Club will be more in our direction.

Based on what you're looked for I would go instead for the Grand Floridian. I stayed there for my honeymoon and loved it!!! My DH the on the other hand found it too pretentious! I've never stayed at the BC or YC, but GF is beautiful and definately not as "fun" themed as other Disney hotels.

beach club
I really liked the Beach Club. I went to Disney for the first time this year in January. My boyfriend and I stayed at the Beach Club and I absolutely love it. It's decorated to give you the beach feeling. It's very sweet and cozy. Very comfy. We're staying there again because of the atmosphere. I didn't see a lot of kids, well that's because we went in January.I don't know what it's like in the summer though. Overall, I do recommend the Beach Club.

Thanks guys!!!!! I know that I *want* the GF ... but I want the coincerege level in the main building and, uh, unless someone wins the lottery that trip is still pretty far off, lol! The link to the pictures on Deb's site was helpful. Sounds like Yacht is the way to go for me, and the pics confirmed at. I'd been in the lobby before and thought THIS is really nice, but I wasn't sure if it was the Beach or Yacht lobby I'd been at. Now I know from the pictures that it was indeed the Yacht, so everything's stacking up toward that resort. Thanks again. :)
