Another Reservation Question...

Just today in the mail, I received the 'reservation confirmation/invoice' from Disney which basically lays out the details of the package I'm buying. On the back of these printed out sheets is the "Walt Disney World Resort Terms and Conditions" and one of them, under "Reservation Information" says "name changes are not permitted". Now, my question is....since we'll have just gotten married the day before we arrive there, I won't be sure whether or not by then my wife will have her last name legally changed over to mine yet so will they have a problem with us checking-in if she still shows her maiden name on her license or whatever ID she needs?

i am the one that handles all our trip booking and the check in .. never have I had to show DH's ID. so I dont think this is something you will really have to worry about that much. I am pretty sure that means the name that the room is under

I think tinkerbell is right. WHat they don't want is for you to turn your room over to another person/party or change the people who are staying in the room.

You will be fine, just keep the reservation how it is. When you check in, just remind them that you will are on your honeymoon, and they will totally understand. If it were the cruise line, it would be different, but with it just being the resort, just make sure you are there at check in.

DisneyTeacher is right, you can make name changes at any time, but the main person on the reservation must always be the same, or they make you start all over. (spelling changes and the like are always acceptable.)

Yes Dont worry about it at all. We didnt need ID when we checked in. Like Mickey says just remind them that its your honeymoon.
Are you flying to FL? If you are, then she will need her ID at the airport and I'm assuming that her plane ticket isnt in her married name therefore her ID must match so its a good thing.

Congrats and enjoy your honeymoon
:)

For those of you who have booked Disney vacation packages before, how did it all work out for you? In this Fairy Tale Package, I'm including airfare and Mears transportation. Does Disney actually send you the tickets or vouchers, or do you have to wait until you get to the airport to get what you need?

After you make the final payment, Disney will send you a package that will include your air tickets, transportation vouchers, hotel voucher and the luggage tags. You will get your tickets when you check into the resort.

I have booked many packages that include airfare through Disney, and they have always been great. The airlines changed flight times the day before once, and they had me on the phone in a matter of minutes so that I could let the clients know about the change. If you don't see your package within two weeks of when you make the final payment, call them up and inquire about it.

I always recieved everything a month or so before our arrival date. I dont know if they still do it or not but we would also get a discount coupon for Mears when we flew. but we never purchased our airfare through disney

Last year, after we made our final payment about 2-3 weeks after that Disney sent us an envelope with a letter with our confirmation #,details of our vacation, etc. We didnt book airfare with them either. We brought the letter with us when we checked into the POLY that's when we got our room cards which were our passes for the parks.
It went very well.
If you have a problem with anything just call Disney back and they are very helpful with everything that you need.

Just like Mickey is to us here. :)
