Swan vs Dolphin

Going this summer. Have either Swan or Dolphin recently been renovated??
Trying to decide which to stay at.

Thanks.

Re: Swan vs Dolphin

Frank, I think the Dolphin is much flashier and vibrant. The Swan seems more sedate to us. My family would probably prefer the bustle of the Dolphin, but we are into the flashy stuff....

Re: Swan vs Dolphin

Both have been refurbished over the last two years.
I really don't see much more difference between the Dolphin and Swan than I do between Yacht and Beach, except for the physical separation of the two buildings. Swan is a lot smaller though and most of the dining options are in the Dolphin.

Re: Swan vs Dolphin

Swan has queen-size beds and Dolphin has double-size beds... that's how we make our decision.

Dolphin is bigger... but they're so close. There isn't much difference... if you're looking for a location advantage, Swan is a wee big closer to Epcot and MGM Studios. Unless you take the boat... then they are an equal difference. And the Dolphin is closer to the Grotto pool.

I think Swan is a bit quieter and calmer... whatever floats your boat. About the same.

Re: Swan vs Dolphin

We just stayed at the Swan but also checked out the Dolphin while we were there. The Dolphin is much larger than the Swan otherwise, they are similar. We enjoyed our stay at the Swan very much.

Re: Swan vs Dolphin

Don't let the bed size description sway your decision. The difference between them is only like an inch or two. Both were recently renovated to include those Heavenly Beds. Mmmm.

They are VERY similar in design and decor. I think the main difference is the size of the resort. The Swan being smaller has a different feel to it: more intimate and sedate. Because the Dolphin is larger, there are more dining options there, more services, and it's closer to the Grotto pool. It is a more dynamic place.

I guess it depends on what you look for in your resort.

I agree. If you like the one, I think you would like the other too.

We spent one night in those heavenly beds this summer after a week of tent camping at FW. "Heaven" describes it perfectly!

I've stayed at the Dolphin 3 times for business conferences and I love the resort. It's in the Boardwalk area and you can watch Illuminations from your balcony or in the main area. Beautiful resort and the beds are absolutely amazing!!

If they had the refillable mugs and dinning plan we would love to try them.

I can see this like a scene from a movie... I bet those beds did feel great, especially after sleeping on the ground!

I've stayed in both and there is very little difference between the Swan's and Dolphin's rooms. Same goes for the room floor hallways.

Yeah... but if you have to sleep with who I have to sleep with, any extra space possible would be appreciated.

I guess it shouldn't bother many other people, though. Was just throwing that in... the Heavenly Beds are fab.

It's not really Westin, but it's not really Disney, either... an odd cross.
