How do you book your trips?
I usually book through my travel agency, Liberty Travel. I usually get a good price. What different methods of booking do you guys go through. An example is this year we went in Jan. from the 25th to the 30th and it cost about 1500 with air, hotel and magic your way tix.

Re: How do you book your trips?
I usually use my local travel agent. They set it all up, including flights. Last year I didn't use them and I had a whole lot more trouble getting my not local travel agent to respond to my emails. They didn't book flights. I had to do that and I think it would have been worth for me to pay their $30.00 fee and have my local guy take care of it, meaning it would have been cheaper in the end.
I "practice" booking at Disney's official site and get a general idea and then take it to my TA.

Re: How do you book your trips?
Rlander books everything for our trips. We do all of our planning, booking resorts, plane, car service, tickets, ADR's, etc. We have never used a travel agent, and really enjoy doing it ourselves.

Re: How do you book your trips?
I almost always use the online booking website and they call Disney direct if I need to make changes/additions.
Last year I used a AAA travel agent (to get an AAA discount and the hotel I wanted) and it was a frustrating experience because I could not call Disney to make changes. I had to call the travel agent (who was sooooo uninformed and always insisted she was correct) to make changes, etc. After last year's experience taught me to go back to booking with Disney online.

Re: How do you book your trips?
i book online-by this time, I am familiar with what I need and would like to do...plus I got to talk to a very nice lady named Bambi when I booked my last trip.
It was great to be on the phone with Disney for an hour (we booked dining and some other stuff). I felt sorry for her having to tell me at every restaurant that it was non smoking and that we need to show up 5 minutes early for our time, and that park admission was required. We both knew that we knew this information, but I know that she had to say it... She was so kind and helpful. it made me very excited about our vacation-just talking to a real Disney employee. She truly acted like she wanted us to have a great trip. It was worth the hour!

Re: How do you book your trips?
I bounce between booking it myself and using Mouseketrips. If there are going to be big codes coming out (like free dining etc.) I'll usually go with Mouseketrips because it's a lot less hassle for them to apply the codes and get everything set then it is for me to sit on hold four 45 minutes while 93 million other people try to do the same thing to their reservation.
If not we like to book it ourselves. I usually call because I like to talk to people and hear the music ![]()

Re: How do you book your trips?
Keith at Mouseketrips books our rooms for us (for the reasons Bella mentioned) and because he can somehow, sometimes, FIND rooms that aren't available when I go online or call Disney...don't know what his "magic" is!
![]() We book all our own ADRs and we drive down, so there is no flight involved.

I would only use Mousektrips- their service is first class, no question is too much trouble and we have had terrific AP discounts.

Re: How do you book your trips?
I map out when we want to go. Check Mousebuzz every day for discount code, and then call the day the discount code is released. As for flights, if we find a great deal, we fly. If not, we drive, so no stress that way, cause we actually like driving better than flying.

Re: How do you book your trips?
I tend to go with AAA- I had a friend that worked there and she would jsut go with whatever I asked her to do- I might do that again for our cruise and our Sept trip since we are not using DVC points for either- its cheaper for us and I have currently $300 in travel vouchers to use

But, for our next trip we've booked flights all through Aeroplan (Air Canada's points program) so although I called our agent about the WDW package part, I'm wishing I hadn't. I know she will rebook for us if and when free dining is announced but I'm wishing I'd left it to take care of it myself for all the same reasons hanwill mentions. I'm working on patience, I'll have to wait for my disney phone fix when it's time for ADR's.

Re: How do you book your trips?
Travel City all the way, though we will go round the other travel operators and get the best price we can, alot of agencies will offer a service where they try to beat a previous price you got or lure you in with extras and freebies, but over-all Travel City always comes up a winnner!

Re: How do you book your trips?
I book resorts myself, usually on the phone.
We drive, so there are no flights. When we go to Disneyland, I book on the phone and book the flights through Orbitz. I also take care of transportation.
