In room DVD (Caribbean)??

Arriving this weekend for 6 days and looking for a list of in-room amenities. Will our room have a DVD and is there Disney movies played on TV?

thanks

It is not listed in the resort amenities online. I can tell you that you can get plenty of Disney movies, shows, bed time stories & travel info on the TV stations provided in the room.

Compared to what the average cable subscriber gets at home with even basic packages, the offerings on Disney's cable are pretty paltry.
No HBO/Showtime or even Turner Classic Movies and Fox Movie Channel. No Cartoon Network. No Nick or Nick at Night. No Comedy Central. No MTV. No FX. No Sci Fi. No Spike. No USA. No A&E networks. No Discovery networks. No Travel Channel either despite how often they run shows about Disney destinations. No Fox News, only CNN and MSNBC (well no great loss there). No movies at all that aren't interrupted by commercials or edited for broadcast.
But you get 5 channels of ESPN!
Basically, with some exceptions, there are no cable networks that aren't owned by Disney! No Viacom. No Time Warner. No NBC Universal.
I have never seen a DVD player in any Disney resort below concierge rooms in the Contemporary, Poly, and Wilderness Lodge and coincidentally all of these rooms have been upgraded from regular TVs to flat panel LG HDTVs.

Besides the concierge rooms, I think the DVC rooms are the only ones with DVD players. I don't think the DVC studios have one but the one and two bedrooms do.

No DVD player but you can plug your camcorder into the front of TV so you might be able to take your own DVD player.

plenty of Disney stuff on TV.

Well, we've only stayed in a one bedroom at OKW, but I don't remember much. It was only for one night and then we moved to CBR, which for sure didn't have a DVD player.
