Beach Club Villas vs. Boardwalk Villas

I am planning next January's trip and I need some help! This is going to be a big trip with about 12 people going so, I want to make it great. We are going to stay on the Boardwalk either at Beach Club Villas or Boardwalk Villas. So, does anyone have any suggestions. Pros and Cons of either???

Re: Beach Club Villas vs. Boardwalk Villas

Each have their own merits. What is the spread on the age group? IF there are children involved, the pool at the Beach Club is a must do.

If it is all adults, a nice room over looking the BW is way cool.

It will be a mixed group, both adults and kids.

If you think the cildren will use the pool, it is one of the most interesting Disney has. My guys loved it when they were younger.

Re: Beach Club Villas vs. Boardwalk Villas

We've stayed at both and like BCV a lot better, it just fits us. The pool is awesome and the walk to Epcot is a little shorter.

Re: Beach Club Villas vs. Boardwalk Villas

We're Boardwalk Villas fans. It just has always felt like the resort of our dreams, with all the activity, nightlife and that LOBBY! The Keister Coaster slide at Luna Park pool is our kids' favorite. When we pull up to the front door, we feel really special!

The Stormalong Bay pool at BCV is amazing, too. It has a sandy area, a lazy river and a great slide. And we like Cape May Cafe also!

I don't think either of these resorts has a downside...

Re: Beach Club Villas vs. Boardwalk Villas

I can't think of a downside either. I have never stayed on the Boardwalk so just the proximity to everything excites me!

Re: Beach Club Villas vs. Boardwalk Villas

If you're swimmers, I'd pick Beach Club, plus there's a character breakfast right in your own hotel and it's usually much easier to get into than Chef Mickey's.
Beach villas are the closest rooms to Epcot and the walk to the Studios isn't objectionable. The room sizes will be about the same. Beach Club Villas is newer, having opened in 2003.
Everything else is about equal.

Re: Beach Club Villas vs. Boardwalk Villas

There are no cons to the Beach Club. If you can get a room there, take it. You can pool hop at the BW, but why? SAB is by far the best pool in all the resorts.
