splitting stay with dining plan
If we are able to get the flights we want, we won't arrive in Orlando until 11:30 pm. Since I can't see paying for a night at the Poly when we arrive so late (which is where we are staying the rest of the trip) I think I am going to book that 1st night at the Pop.
We already have non-expiring park tickets, so to get the dining plan I had to also purchase 1 day park tickets for each of us. I want to add the dining plan to that 1st night at POP since on our last day we will be there a full day and will be out of credits if we don't. Here's my question: If they link the reservations will my 1 day of park tickets apply so we can add the dining plan to our Pop night w/o having to get another day of park tickets?

I believe you have to book a 3 night stay to be able to add the dining plan. However, they won't link your reservations so you wouldn't have your tickets any way. Sorry, you'll have to check in at the Poly to get those tickets.

Unfortunately you are correct!  I just called and the room at the Pop will be room only unless I add another park day. So I just booked the room only and we'll pay OOP for our meals on the last day. I just can't see paying the $ for a night at the Poly when we only will be checking in around 12:30am!

I am so glad you asked this question ssn as this was one I just asked Mousektrips yesterday-hopefully we are room only for the first days of our stay and Dining plan for the remainder and then we will just have to purchase one park pass.

You are going to have to have a seperate ticket and package with your first night. Since you are arriving so late, I wouldn't even bother with the DDP...you are only sleeping there and heading to the polynesian.
