and Im not excited as I think I should be Im always excited about WDW. For some reason Im having regrets on a few things...
telling my grandmom that she can come with me
Staying at POR and not POP
Letting my oldest DD9 come. She and DD7 argue all the time and Im about to pull my hair out

I dont know.. I am excited because I cant sleep at night. Heck I was logged onto here last night at 1am
BUt something just isnt there. I keep having dreams my sister will have the twins when Im gone and that just cant happen. Im her breathing coach because her DH doesnt know how to do it right.
Im upset because my DD9 decided to go last minute and I had to change all my adrs and I lost some good times I had. Im not able to go to LeCellier. I have to use Concord Steakhouse now. I cant do LTT so we had to switch to Crystal Palace and I dont really like that place.. Im sorry to ramble I just had to vent..

Well- I know I said it before but you really need to tell your daughter all that you did to have her come along. She needs to know that you love her enough that you changed your whole trip for her. Perhaps that might make the bickering stop. As for the grandmother, you have a babysitter so you can get out by yourself and lets face it- most of us no longer have a grandmother so you will someday look back and have memories that will be priceless.

TRUE but all I think is the memories from 05 with her.. Dont let the kids swim at night they may get colds in their chests...Wear a sweater.. Its chilly but it really was 85 degrees... I know I wanted her to come but I only have 5 days!!
And for Megan.. I just went to the bank grabbed $2000 that I have been saving and I showed her all the $ and advised her that was for us to have a good time and told her that I didnt need to bring her and have to upgrade the room and all so we will see how it works. Last night I pretended I called WDW and told them to cancel her because she was acting like a little nasty kid and I will not have it 4 days till we leave. I WILL LEAVE HER HOME TO GO TO SCHOOL!! I hustled sooo much Tupperware at farmers markets for the past 2 weekends to earn enought $ to be able to take and have to upgrade the room for her and not to mention airfare so I had to pack up the truck everyday with 1800 pounds of tupperware and then set it all up and then unload it and do it all again the next day for 2 weekends in a row so she better knock it off and behave!!

she is also very welcome to spend "lots of time in the room with grandmother"
you can use that as a tool to punish poor behavior.

I'm sorry you're not as excited as you should be. I hope your 9 year old cools off enough to understand what you've done for her. I know she's just a kid but she old enough to get it.

If you feel like she hasn't earned the trip you can always cancel her, I know it sounds tough and I don't know that I could do it but if you put that threat out there at some point it has to happen or she'll never believe you in the future.

Thanks, I was worried that my post sounded too harsh. I have come back to it several times to edit it or delete it but decided to leave it. I truly don't know that I could leave my child at home but I do know that if I put something out there I have to follow through with it or my word means nothing in the future.

Not harsh at all. We tend to allow our kids to think they "deserve" things, instead of earning them.

They absolutely need to earn them. We have told our kids that this year they need to work hard this summer to earn their trip. We're waiting to go 2 weeks before school starts, so they have the whole summer to work towards the trip.

Here is an Update.... Im getting excited to the point I cant sleep at night. I kind of told my bos I leave on tuesday so I can have the day off but I really leave on wednesday. My DD9 finally realized that I wasnt taking her crap and that I was going to cancel her trip when I decided to unpack her bags and put her clothes back in the closet. We had a long talk to day and I think that she understands that I made her portion of the trip possible in less than a week and that she needed to earn it. We are on the same page now.
I have most of everything packed now. I purchased some new luggage today and needed to switch it all over in the morn so hopefully all I need to do is get a hair cut pedicure and sit back and relax!
