We are heading down July 6th and staying at the ASMo. My four year old is a HUGE Toy Story fan and we would like to stay in the Buzz building. Is this something I should call ahead for or just request when we check in. If anyone has stayed there(in the Buzz building) How is its location in regards to pools, bus stop, food court?

Re: Requesting a specific room?
The best thing to do is to call a few days prior and request that building but then do it again when checking in. Disney really tries to accommodate all request and the best thing to do is to be really cooperative about it. For example, if you check in early and they have a room available in 101 Dalmatians but the Toy Story rooms aren't ready yet just say you'll wait for a room..and stuff like that.
Basically they will do their best but they make no promises so don't count on getting the room in TS. If you do that and then you DO get a TS room..well then it's like an extra treat!

Re: Requesting a specific room?
When we make our reservation, we have them note on the reservation that we want the Toy Story section. IMHO, it is very close to everything and it is one of the better Themed areas. Last time we asked for Herbie the love Bug. We were able to get them on both occasions.
Good Luck.

Re: Requesting a specific room?
You should have your building request noted on your reservation and ask again at check in for that building. don't bother faxing the requests or calling it in...they don't honor them that way anymore. Be willing to take any room in that building and offer to wait for the next available room instead of jumping on an early check in another building....you never know. Your chances are 50/50 on getting the room.
