Really silly question!!

I know that they recommend having "fat" pens for the characters to use when they sign the autograph books. I guess it is easier for them to hold? Anyway, I have been looking around for some and have has no luck-- any idea where I may find them? I know it is silly, but it is one of the last things on my "to Buy" list for our upcoming trip!!!!!!

Well, Crayola Washable Markers (fat kind) can be found at Target in the school supplies section, in bulk at Sam's in the office supply section, at Toys R Us, and at most arts and crafts stores. These are nice, especially with little kids, because they don't stain. And, they come in an assortment of fun colors.

If you aren't worried about stains, then fine-tip Sharpies (not ultra-fine) would also work. These can also be found in bulk in the office supply section of Sam's, in Office Depot, Target, and most stores that carry office supplies. They also come in a variety of colors. And, you can get the kind that you click, and the point comes out, which is easier than keeping up with caps.

Lots of good suggestions from LittleMissMagic - all would work nicely!

We bought my DS one right at WDW - it has mickey ears on it. The price was $4 I think.

Standard Sharpees with fine tips seem to be what the characters are most familiar with. But I'd guess they can work with anything that has a fatter barrel diameter than a drum stick.

I have bought our pens at Staples, Target and Michaels.

Retractable ones are great, no caps to fumble with.

As long as your pens don't have caps to mess around with, the characters will be able to sign just fine!

The fat black Crayola washable markers work great if you take the cap off before handing it to the character.

If you do decide to use Sharpies, just be careful when you're handing the character the pen....those permanent markers can leave ugly marks on their hands!

I always let the girls pick a new one at the gift shop . . . they are fat and have the click to write feature . . . plus it's a FUN first purchase!!

I wouldn't worry about it. They will have plenty for you to choose from once you get there. And the pen will say "Walt Disney World", too!!

Get the big blue WDW pen with the Mickey ears on top - you can find it EVERYWHERE in WDW!

yep, yep! this is what we got too....it's ball point, but fat...really cute.

they sell them at the resort gift shops & at the little "newstands" at the entrances of MK & Epcot..not sure about where at DHS, or AK.
