Thoughts on Spirit of Aloha?
DH and I have this booked for our August, adults-only trip. I was just on allears reading the reviews and some of them were just terrible! However, most of them are from 3-4 years ago. Does anyone have more recent experience? Would you go again? Just wondering if I need to update my ADRs and cancel this one...

Hi!
We went in 06, and the food was pretty good. The show is very kids-focused I would say, with about 3/4 of it telling a cute little tale, with lots of audience and kids participation. The last 1.4 of the show is very cool - firedancing, hula, etc - more what I was expecting the whole thing to be like. In my opinion, I enjoyed it overall. Yes, it was kid-focused, but I don't mind that, it's Disney. I'd say go for it - it's always fun to do something special like a dinner show :-) |

If you have never done SOA, then do it once and decide for yourself if you would ever do it again. The food was good and you get all you can eat.

My friend went in June 2007. She says the food was good. Didn't care for the show... thought it was a little corny. But great food.
She likes food.....

I have never seen the show. But the food is good in my opinion. Give it a try. But if it gets cancelled due to weather, go easy on the Polynesian concierge.

I would agree that the 1st half of the show is focused on the kids. The second half is what I thought the whole show would be like. The food is very good. This is a ben there done that thing for us.

Thank you all for your feedback. I think we'll go and see what it's like. At least it's just the two of us, and not the whole family, in case we don't think it's worth the money.
