1900 Park Fare

We have 1900 Park Fare booked for our upcoming trip and have never eaten there. Do the little girls dress up for this meal like they do CRT? Heaven knows DD has enough princess dresses for numerous meals!!

Re: 1900 Park Fare

We just ate there for the first time last week! It was wonderful. We had skipped this place SO many times before and DD REALLY wanted to meet the stepsisters so we made it a point not to miss it this time! The characters were so much fun! And there were many little girls dressed up like princesses so I would make sure she wears hers...y'all will have a blast!

Re: 1900 Park Fare

When we went DD didn't dress up in a princess dress but she did dress up. She always gets really hot in the princess dresses. We did however pull her hair up into an updo with a pretty curly hair piece and she wore a tiara. Sooo cute!

Re: 1900 Park Fare

We are getting there early to have a photo session so I bought everyone matching outfits. The boys are wearing biege shorts w/ white polo shirts and the girls are wearing blue dresses that I ordered at Disney Shopping they are blue with the bottom lined w/ Mickey and flowers. they are cute and hopefully we wont freeze when we go in to eat.

Re: 1900 Park Fare

Last time we dined at 1900 Park Fare there weren't a whole lot of little girls dressed up. There were definately some with Cinderella & other princess outfits but it was a small handful. Of course, little girls can be princesses anytime they want in WDW so if she wants to wear the princess dress I bet you'll get some adorable pictures. 1900 definately has a more casual, more laid-back, atmosphere than other restaurants in the Grand Floridian.

Re: 1900 Park Fare

YOu can go early for photo sessions? I just booked them right before we go to MVMCP. I'm not sure DD2 will dress up. She is Cinderella and everyone agrees. But when poeple bought her dress up dresses, that was the one they Did NOT get her??? So unless she gets one between now and then, she can't be Cinderella dresses as Snow White or something! We would have to make sure we brought something else for her to ware at night when it gets cooler.

Our first trip there we made the mistake of thinking it was as dressy as V&A. We wasted so much time leaving the park early to make sure we had time for all of us to shower and get all dressed up. We were seated on the long booths that are shared my everyone and the people on each side of us looked and smelled as if they had just rushed over from the park. DH and I just laughed at this and took a mental note for next time.

Something to think about though....
We were 10 minutes late one time and we almost didn't get in. I'm not sure if they are this strict at other character meals (we've never been late to another one) but the only reason we got in was because DD3 broke down crying and the Fairy Godmother found us a spot . Make sure you get there early!

Re: 1900 Park Fare

We had breakfast there and I don't remember seeing anyone dressed up. We will be having dinner there in September so I am going to assume that the little girst will dress up.

We've done both dinner and breakfast at 1900 several times, and my girls have dressed up every time. We have seen little girls not dressed up, though. It's really up to you and what works for you.

Re: 1900 Park Fare

The last time we went, in May 2007, DD did dress up and she loved it! We took her to BBB before hand so she was really dolled up as Jasmine. But I would say it is 50/50, half do and half don't.

Re: 1900 Park Fare

All of this sounds so wonderful! I can't wait for my little girl to be able to dress up! since she will only be 5 months my DH wants to skip all the princess stuff :(

but i can say that 1900 park fare has good food and some little girls get really into dressing up when they go to the princess meals!

Well,it looks like she will be dressing up for this one also!! She would be heart broken if other girls were dressed and she wasn't!!! Glad I asked since I really only thought about dressing up for CRT!!

Oh no! Every little girl is a princess--even at 5 months old!

When we took our youngest for her first trip she was 9 months old and I bought her this little one-piece bubble that had a tulle skirt attached. It had Princess embroidered in sparkly thread on it and a little pink Walt Disney World embroidered over one leg. I bought it a little roomy and she wore it again the next summer (she's a peanut!). Here she is in the little outfit we bought. I thought it was perfect for a little one.

Re: 1900 Park Fare

We went to the dinner when DD was 18 months old and she dressed up in her Cinderella dress! Like others have said...half dress, half don't. She looked SO ADORABLE, I didn't care if NO ONE dressed!

We are going to WDW in November (she's 3) and don't have any princess meals planned...but if she wants to dress up one day, she will! It's WDW after all! Every little girl is a princess!
