Or... have you always wanted to try Beach Club? Do you want to be right there at Epcot?

For me... August says "Beach Club" whereas colder months would say "Wilderness Lodge". So I'd change.

But don't change because you think you "should"... change if you WANT to!

No I've wanted to try Beach Club but it's been out of price range...I've been dying to go to Stormalong Bay! I still want to go to WL... but b/c BC is now more affordable I made the switch. I did check for better pricing at WL (and then GF and Poly) but no availability. I must admit I haven't seen great deals like this (I got DDP, park hopper with waterparks) in awhile! They also are giving out good deals for the Mods and Values at this time and into Sept...the code is DDI.

It's on the Disney website but if you call the Disney number and give them promotional code DDI (I got it from the website) they'll give you the deal....they highlighted on the website the deal for values, mods and villas, but I tried the deluxes and got one at BC resort (not villa). I also know that someone else got one for Boardwalk.

Re: For an extra $100 would you

For $100 over the entire stay? YES... Unless you plan on spending the majority of the trip in MK.

Location, location, location - walking distance to 2 parks.

And Stormalong Bay.

And Beaches and Cream.

And Spoodles (love it or meh, but we love it).

In a Mickey heartbeat!. Love both resorts, but the BC is on the top of the list. To us, it puts you with easy access to 2 different parks, while WL has easy access to the MK. Neither is a bad proposition. But love the atmosphere of Y&b and BWI area just so much more to do outside of the parks and a lot more dining choices and night life.

Wow, what a deal! Perfect for you if you are spending a lot of time in Epcot!

I got a semi deal too for our Christmas week visit, I was all ready to book POP, when the CM said wait, I have a deal for you CSR and it will be about $200 more for the whole week . . . from a value to a mod . . . that's a great deal!

You did get a good deal there! I think we're seeing some great deals because of the economy/price of gas.

I see this as a once in a blue-moon type of thing...because 1 this is the first time we're staying more than 4 or 5 days (We're staying double that) and we'd NEVER do Beach Club at full price for that length of stay. We only did our GF/Poly trips on short trips because of how pricey they were. So this is really a Disney Dream!

(I actually think this has made up for no PPP this August!)

I agree . . . altho two years ago when I booked for Xmas I was given the same "deal" but hey whatever works! I was told too that FL resident/Passholder rates come out end of July for December (guess they want to see how full they are first!) so I'm hoping to save more! Greedy yes, but I'll spend the savings in the Parks or On Food I'm sure!

Sounds like a great trip you have planned . . . I'd love to stay at Beach Club or AKL . . . they are both beautiful!

These days I'd say my two favorites are WL and Contemporary, although our last two visits were Yacht and AKL.
But for an extra $100 for 4 days, I'd do the Beach.

Every time I get AP rates they only list a few of the resorts, but if you call, or even if you follow the link to room reservations from the passholder area, you'll discover that most of the resorts have discounted rates available. Just all are never available at once and sometimes what wasn't available 4 weeks out, becomes available one week out.
I always call to see what they have.

Wow that is a great deal. I would make the switch in a heartbeat. I got a chance to really explore the BC the last trip and I REALLY liked it. The pools, restaurants and location make it a favorite of mine.
