For an extra $100 would you

Switch from WL to Beach Club? Why or why not? It turns out that Disney is running a special and there's only $100 difference.

Is that $100 for your whole stay or just a night?

For the whole stay.

It does mean 1 less park day (i.e. going from 9 day to 8 day ticket) but we can't use the last day anyways because of flight time home.

Ummm....YES! I would grab that rate. Here's how I would look at it, if I can swing WL this trip I'm sure I could do it again next time but I might not be able to afford BC at rack rate next time. WL and BC are our two favorite resorts. We love the location of BC, being close to two parks is a big bonus.

You mean you'd definitely switch? Or not switch?

I would definitely take advantage of that! I like WL- it's beautiful, but at the same time you can't beat the BC- just has different things to offer! Have fun!

Re: For an extra $100 would you

Sorry, totally read it backwards.. as if you were meaning switch from BC to WL.. WL is my favorite.. that would be my choice.. sorry for confusion.

We love WL.. it is so peaceful. We love the boat access to MK. The whole resort just appeals to me.

I would do it in a heart beat. Just being close to 2 parks does it for me.

If you use the pool, that's worth the $100 there. WL has a nice pool. BC has the best pool.

Re: For an extra $100 would you

Okay, I was wrong...it's not $100 difference...it's ONLY $78...Beach Club here we come!

PS...I think the CM on the phone was just as excited as I was about the switch.

Re: For an extra $100 would you

I think you shouldn't take into consideration that BC is generally more expensive, and is often considered "better" than WL.

You picked WL for a reason. Was it based on price only? Or did the theme appeal to you? Maybe you wanted to be close to MK.

Or... have you always wanted to try Beach Club? Do you want to be right there at Epcot?

For me... August says "Beach Club" whereas colder months would say "Wilderness Lodge". So I'd change.

But don't change because you think you "should"... change if you WANT to!

Wow, that's a great rate! I don't think you'll be sorry about the switch, BC is a wonderful resort.

This is exactly what I was thinking...BC at regular rates is always a stretch and it works because alot of our ADRs are in Epcot. Plus we're doing the Dolphins in Depth and Lunch with Imagineer, so it's good to be close to both locations.

Next trip it's definitely going to be WL though...been wanting to go there for awhile.
