Since this is my first time to book a room at Disney I am not familiar with all the initials that you are using. Someone fill me in and tell me what you like best about the places you have stayed.;)

I was really only posting the acronyms for the lodging since that was the direction of the question, but thanks! I am sure there are some folks on here that will need your list for the other threads. ;)

Whoa! Now thats a list RMJKS05!!Great job!!

We've stayed at AKL - best thing about the AKL for us was the pool, The Mara (quick serve) , The Boma (Buffet) and watching all the animals

And The BC - best thing about the Beach Club for us was its great location. So close to Epcot, MGM and the Boardwalk. Oh, and the pool has got to be the best in Disney!

Have fun!! And good luck memorizing all those initals:laugh

We stayed at CBR in March. This was our fist on site visit and it spoiled us. Nothing will ever compare to stayin on site Disney. The themeing and colors of CBR are awesome. We also really enjoyed the food court. We stayed in Jamaicca and we have actually been to Jamaicca on a cruise and it was very close to the original. LOVED CBR. We plan on staying at Port Orleans next March (Or maybe WL if the Fairytale Package is available then). And THE POLY IN OCTOBER 2005!!

The CBR is my personal favorite and I totally agree about the theme and the colors .. they are so .. lively? I dont know .. the CBR just puts me in a wonderful mood, I start singing that Beach Boys song!
we have stayed at Port Orleans Riverside ..and it was ok but the theme being southern ..well heck we are southern ..live in the south so even though it was nice ...it wasnt something we just have to go back to.
the poly is another we have stayed at and loved for the theme, this one is actually our granddaughters favorite.
last year it was AKL and that is DH's favorite.

Yea LRTJS! Im so happy for you staying on site! One thing that would help us help you (lol) would be: What are you looking for in your resort (preffered theme or atmosphere)? Are you willing to splurge for a deluxe? Do you have a preference as to closest resort to whatever park? I have stayed at about 8 Disney Hotels and I love each and everyone of them, so it's hard for me to suggest one particular one, lol. Those questions will set you on the right track for whatever hotel you choose. I'm sure the other members can offer there 2 cents. WOW RMJKS05,that really IS a big list!!!:dazed Where did you find all those? Good luck on your search LRTJS and keep us posted!
Joe :)

I have contacted Mouseketrips and am very disappointed to hear that Oct. is pretty booked up for the Fairytale package. It looks like we may have to take an AllStar package. I really wanted at least moderate. We really can't afford deluxe, well we might could if we didn't have two kids in college who are putting us in the poor house!:laugh

LRTJS I dont think you will be disappointed in any of the All Stars. We have stayed at Music and Movies .. I think we made a mistake by staying at the Poly then the next year staying at the All star movies ..but after that we stayed at Music and loved it ..then the next time we went to AKL your staying on site !! and as its been said so many times before ..you may not be in the room that much :)

oooo thats wonderful !! we havent stayed there .. every time we pass it we say "we need to try that one" so I cant wait till you go. but yes Oct. does seem so very far away. I feel like august will never come ..funny thing is .. I hate august ..its hotter hades in texas in august ..we have 100 degree temps add the humidity to it and it feels like 150 and you can forget any rain. but I am so excited for you !!

p.s. have to tell you something funny that happen today..we were at the zoo and this man was staring at me .. then he asked if I was from alabama .. and pointed to my shirt .. I said "nope ..bought it on the way back from Disney world last year "
