Resorts - 5 in a room policies ?

We are going to have a 5th that we actually have to pay for next year.
He'll be 3.
Are we going to be okay with a "standard" 4-person room, figuering that he'll be sleeping either in our bed, or on the floor in a portable bed - doubtful that we can use the pack n play route.

Do I let them know when I book ? Or just not tell anyone and use the room as we see fit?

Thanks in advance!!!

I know to some it would be "bending the rules", but if you are not on a package deal, I don't see the need to mention the fifth person who is so young!! If you needed to include him in the package for tickets, that would be a different story.

our youngest granddaughter stayed 2 a little longer then normal .. it was kinda an honest mistake because when I booked it she was 2 and I just didnt really think about it till we got there .. but I also didnt mention the fact that she had aged since we booked

The first two times we stayed at WDW as a family of 5 we had to stay at the POR because they were the only moderate resort to allow 5 in a room. Since that time I have been actually told by a Disney reservationist that I could just get a standard 4 person room and just not mention the 5th. And we have done this a few times.
Personally, I feel that if you have little ones, and you can manage to sleep in the beds or with a sleeping bag, that it is not really taking advantage of the rules.

The 5th person in a 4person room will not get a resort id. If they ask for the child's resort id at Early Entry or for an E-Ride Night ticket, you will be out of luck.

That's why it's best to leave the youngest guest off the reservation. No one will ask the "baby" of the family for id. Especially if Mom, Dad, and big brother and sister have theirs.
