Buzz - I made this thread a sticky for you so it's always at the top and easy for you and other CSR lovers to locate. I kept meaning to do it and always forgot, so there..it's done.lol better late than never right? Great info! Thanks for all the work and info you pour into this thread.

Just back last night from CSR... here is my review.

I highly suggest online check in.... we breezed right past the normal check in line when we arrived. We were given our room assignment. Cabanas 8B 8580 to be exact (parking lot view) in the back of the building. The CMs gave us some "1st Visit" buttons and we were on our way. We made the trek to our building. The room was clean and freshly renovated. The view wasn't great, but we could keep track of the busses going by from our window. The beds were absolute HEAVEN. So comfortable. We slept great. The sliding doors between the bathroom and the beds were a major plus, it allowed me to get dressed and ready without waking up the kids. I will say that the toilet flushing was a nuisance. I heard EVERY toilet in the whole building flush all night long. I think 8B was a fairly packed buidling.. most of the rooms were full, either that or I was in in the room with all the pipes. It was driving me CRAZY!!! My little one thought the toilets flushing was my husband's stomach. She would say, "Is that your tummy? Are you HUNGRY?" She said it everytime. It was pretty funny.

The busses were ok, this was our first visit so I have nothing to compare it to. They were hit or miss, sometimes we would hop right on, sometimes we would wait 20 mintues. We couldn't buy a bus to Epcot. We were at bus stop four (usually the 3rd stop) coming home from the parks so I always had sleeping children by the time we got to our stop.

The Pepper Market was the best counter service food we had during the whole trip. The fajitas and quesedillas were wonderful. I don't get the tipping the waitress thing for simply seating us and bringing us soda in a disposable cup. But the food was great so I guess it was worth it. We had no problems figuring out the system.

The pool was the highlight of the resort for my kids. They LOVED the slide. I happened to LOVE the mojitos at the pool bar. There were a fair number of families at the pool, but also alot of adults around the pool bar. Overall a nice mix. The pool has life jackets for the kids, so my 3 year old was loving floating in the pool all by herself.

One thing I didn't love... the resort was HOT. Now, were in Orlando during record breaking heat in May... but the paths were not shady and walking around the resort in the blistering heat was brutal. My husband did not like the walk to the main building for coffee in the morning, but I guess that is part of the territory with the moderates.

Welcome back and thanks for sharing! It can get hot during the summer. I was there in June once but I wouldn't go back at that time of year again.

We have stayed at CSR multipule times, but it's been way too long since our last stay. (3 yrs?)
We started staying at the deluxe resorts as the kids got older and sharing a full size bed became an issue.
Now that the CSR has queen beds, we are coming back!!!!!

Ranchos 7B is now shut down for the rehab. Then once Ranchos 7B is complete, they will have Ranchos 6B and the three bottoms floors of Casitas 1, 2 and 3 and the renovation will be complete.

Adjacent to the Coronado Springs Resort and Convention Center, a 450-acre entertainment/commercial district will be built in phases over the next eight to 10 years. The district will include restaurants, retail shops, and additional hotel rooms, all easily accessible to groups holding meetings at the Coronado Springs Convention Center.

Next fall, a new restaurant will open at Coronado Springs—an upscale eatery called Terrazzo. The casual Pepper Market will be expanded.

Have a great time! It is our favorite resort. Unfortunately, due to finances, we had to cancel our trip this year, but we hope to be back in 2010!
